Good food - but terribly loud
Submitted Tuesday, December 20, 2011 - 10:04am [Dine in]

My friend and I dropped in on a Friday night for dinner. We were seated within 5 minutes and our server was at our side so quickly, we were still just getting our jackets off. Typical Milestone's fare - although we both enjoyed our meal. We tried the Cheesecake sampler for dessert and just loved it. My only complaint would be the noise level. OMG - it was loud in there. Too loud. It took away a part of our dining enjoyment. Why don't restaurants consider sound proofing, white noise, or just how about turning down the volume on the music?

Doesn't look like much from the outside - but great food
Submitted Friday, December 16, 2011 - 10:11am [Dine in]

Ate at the Banana Leaf last night with a friend. I just moved into the neighbourhood and walked past this restaurant frequently since. It was always filled with people yet didn't look like much from the outside with a very odd entrance shared with a hair salon. I tried it last night and can now understand why there are always so many people inside - the food is great. Never had Malaysian food before but thoroughly enjoyed it. We have the beef curry, mixed vegetables, spring rolls, and coconut rice. All delicious. Service was good and attentive. A request for more rice came promptly. For 2 people including a soft drink each, we paid $47 for the meal in total (not including tip). Reasonable prices and very good food.

Don't walk past - great food

This place looks like a whole in the wall with tacky decorating - but the food is probably the best Thai I have ever had short of actually being in Thailand. Their chicken Pad Thai is amazing. I recently had the Green Chicken Curry which was also great. I just moved into the area and discovered this restaurant shortly afterwards. I now eat in or take out at least 2 - 3 times per month. I would highly recommend eating here - you will not be disappointed.
