Long Live for Nuba
Submitted Tuesday, October 19, 2010 - 6:45pm [Dine in]

Nuba is a real gem. Location so so, hidden, close to hastings bad spots, but the place is soooooo good.
Food is close to perfection. I doubt Vancouver ever had a libanese restaurant like Nuba. Ambience totally modern, good taste, music in the perfect volume, lights, everything 10. The weakest point was our server. Could be better. Very intrusive, forcing too much.We wouldl like to have appies and some drinks before dinner but he was so annoying, backing every minute to take our dinner order than we asked the dinner almost at the same time of the appies, they could make more money on us but... probably a little trainning will solve the problem. Overall I would recommend Nuba and I'll back there for sure.

The food is really good. If pizza, seafood, risotto, you name it. All good. The service is much better than another "classy italian places".Servers very polites, professionals, lots of courtesy in here. Stars with bread until the desserts, olnly good words to say. Still have a bonus: the view of north shore. Worth another visit.

Not bad at all

We went to Earl's and as usual we were very happy. Since we step in the courtesy of the staff is visible. Hostess very pleasant and professional, servers, bartenders, etc. Very casual but very efficient. The food is very consistent, sandwiches, wok and pasta worth to try. Decent and cold beer. Ambiance very cozy and modern. The lounge is a place to stay or the patio at the back close to the fire place. I like their stile.
I have plans to come back soon.

I was yestarday at Samba at the VP's table. First of all the company payed 29 bucks, the dancers were super nice coming to our table they simply answer our requests getting photos with us. The show is very good, probably you can see better in Vegas or in Brasil, for Canada is very good.
Ambience is not an updated restaurant, I agree, the lights could be much better, the sound system either. The food was amazing. 29 dolares worth the top sirloin it self salad bar with fish, chicken pie, black beans, etc. The negative point was the show. The singer is lousy, with an terrible accent, I don't believe he's brazilian at all. There's no brazilian charm on him. We were very happy and I will come back this friday for more fun, since I was informed there's another band playing on Fridays.
The service is something else. Passadores, servers, managers, everybody is there to please us, like in Brazil, I guess. I will BE BACK.
