Love this place. It`s basically a cafe so really, expect the tables to not always be wiped and the staff to be chill. But the food is good, it`s the only place open when I finish work, and it`s super cheap (I compare places price points by their chicken caesar salads and this is the cheapest place I`ve found) The only thing is that I always notice a lot of people studying during the day, yet the music is BLASTING. I would personally rather study somewhere quiet and have the louder music at night. That`s just my opinion though.

why are the girls miserable and the guys peppy

The food is pretty good. The atmosphere is what it's supposed to be. Last I checked hell wasn't supposed to be bright and cheery. Then again I've never been. HOWEVER.... just because you walk around with a stern look on your face doesn't make you look more important. I always get 'greeted' by the same girl with the same look that makes me feels as though I'm not even good enough for hell.... WHAT THE HELL! Smile... it won`t hurt. Then again, I`ve never seen this girl take a table and I have a feeling she may be a supervisor or manager meaning she doesn`t make more money than her salary when she is nice or smiley. Then I go sit and everybody else seems really nice. They should work the door and she should do paperwork. I groan when I walk in and she is there.... how sad.

I always go to Browns. I always sit at the bar. I've never sat at a table there because they seem so cramped and when you're sitting at the bar it seems as though it's supposed to be loud. Okay, I know it's a social house, but really, it's hard to be social when all you can hear it the latest pop tart blasting overhead. But the bartenders are awesome and really nice, the atmosphere is dark and comfy, and the food has a nice little spin to it. The prices are average to everywhere else and they play the hockey games (but ironically, they don't turn the volume up loud enough!!) If you want a place to just pop in on the fly, Brown's is your place!

...you never know what you're going to get! Sometimes the person on cash seems happy to see you, sometimes not. Sometimes you have to clear your own table before sitting, sometimes not. Sometimes it seems like good quality, you guessed it... sometimes not. We did discover that if you order your food to stay, you get a lot more, and then you can pack it up to go yourself... then again, there is never very much veg, sometimes a fair amount of meat.... and ALWAYS a lot of noodles (go figure eh!)

My friend and I stayed at the Sheraton the night before she was to leave to Guatamala. Needless to say, since she was leaving for her flight that day, we weren't wearing our finest and were feeling slightly giddy. The 'gentleman' at the door ignored us until we asked him if they were open. Our server was lovely and peppy, but not only did the manager come over for what seemed like an inspection, but so did another head waiter. I seriously have never felt as scrutinized as we were even crossing the border. We ordered a bailey's and coffee to start and finished them just before our mains arrived. We were never offered another, even when the empty glasses were removed. Not once did we feel we were being loud or obnoxious. The food was good, but feeling like a little girl in trouble easily makes you forget about your appetite and want to go to bed without dinner.
