My boyfriend and I went to this place from a recommendation from a friend. When we first walked in we didn't know where to go. But immediately a server came down the stairs to greet up and take up upstairs. The place is so beautiful and when you look out the patio windows.. the city lights are gorgeous.
Service was impeccable. We had our server as well as other servers tend to us and nothing needed to be asked for. It was like they read our minds every time we wanted something.
My boyfriend was feeling adventurous and ordered the Fois Grois. I can't spell it. But not that they did not make it well. I'm sure that they did a wonderful job cooking it the way it should be. But for both of our personal tastes.. YUCK! Its like semi melted duck fat with liver flavor. This is only personal taste though. He also had the duck confie. Oh I have never had duck so tender and juicy! He loved it too.
I had the three course for only $35 (a special). I got the Duck Terrain, Corn fed hen and layered cake. All three were flavorful and just made right. Delicious! I especially want to comment on their scallop potatoes.. OH they melt in your mouth and are so creamy, well seasoned and crunchy top (not burnt) and soft potatoes in the middle.
With tips and taxes our bill came to $108. For those who think french food is tiny.. this place serves portions that are actually "large" for French food. The value of this place is great. We got a palet cleanser... olives.. warm bread... and a mini appetizer all complimentary during the meal!
Awesome service, delicious food, well worth every penny! Even though we didnt like frois grois, it was worth the experience.
Definitely going back and telling all my friends! Keep up the good work!!

Sunday Feb 2009. Reservation with group of friends.
The decor was well put together and seating was surprisingly comfy.
The two female servers on, seated and greated us right when we walked through the doors. Gave us only two menus (since I arrived with my boyfriend first) and did not give us any more when more guests arrived. It took the servers 15 minutes to come and ask us what we wanted to drink after three of 9 people arrived. Then we had to hunt them down to order appetizers. Just to spare this review from being only about the service, previous reviews are dead on. The service is SO SLOW. TOO SLOW.
The food was just as other reviews had said. Very tastey, pastas were al dente, spiced correctly, flavorful and nice and hot. I would definately go back just because the food deserves it. BUT I would not leave much of a tip if the service continues to do so poorly. Every guest was very happy with the pastas. Delicious! I really never expected such a nice Italian place to be in Surrey.
In conclusion, the terrible service won't turn me away from the delicious meals they serve there. If it continues to be terrible, I just won't leave tips.
