Fabulous Thai food experience

This is real authentic Thai...no ketchup based Pad Thai crap like you get everywhere else...this is the real deal! The room is modern and sexy and the service is great...also something you don't expect from a Thai restaurant, they have an excellent selection of wines! Such an improvement over the last Thai restaurant that was in the same location.
Make sure you leave room for their desserts...I just had a coconut creme brulee the other night (served in a coconut shell!) along with some fried bananas and ice cream that my wife is still talking about.
I am so happy to have a new local Thai restaurant.

Plan B Lounge & Eatery1144 Homer Street, Vancouver
what a cool place!!

Went to Plan B last night because we were in that neighbourhood and had yet to try the place out.
We got lucky because I guess Monday nights they do a special offering half price off their bottles of wine...sweet deal! (that is why they get 4 stars on the value).
We ate a pretty good amount of food...its tapas so we just kept ordering the small plates. Items of note for me were the crab rolls, mussels and seabass, all really delicious, the mussels were a particular favorite, the broth was rich and tasty.
The room is really nice, great feel to it, very warm and cozy....great music too!

what happened??

So much for Bin for me.
This place used to be outstanding but something has gone terribly wrong.
Sorry but I will be off to try out the numerous new places in town. I think the places that have been around a while and have enjoyed a lot of success in the past should realize that there are so many new and better places for people to spend their money now.
Time to pull up the old socks there Bin... the heat is on.
