Stick to the the cheap breakfast
Submitted Sunday, May 4, 2014 - 6:34pm [Dine in]

I used to go in the mornings for a cheap breakfast Bacon eggs $3 or $4
The Breakfast is a safe bet. You have to pick up your food and Bus your own table. There's a big blackboard that says prices subject to change. So this is their way of keeping the prices down.
But if your buying a big breakfast you pay the same as you would at Denny's or Ihop.
They have fresh baked goods never tried them but they you good.
I had a double bacon cheese burger,it was disgusting,it had so much thousand dressing on it the bun was soaked through and the lettuce and tomato just oozed right out of the burger.
Twice I've had burnt fries, they can't seem to cook them and they are very skinny .
The Milk shakes are good.
I wouldn't care about taking your own dishes back up.But they don't wash the tables, very dirty.
No ambiance.Crappy seats and booths when the guy behind you sits down.you can feel the back of your booth move.
The place is a converted donut shop.If you like cheap Breakfast go if you want a big breakfast go somewhere else

Anastasia Seafood & Steak House13486 72nd Ave, Surrey
Not Bad, Not Good
Submitted Saturday, March 6, 2010 - 10:51am [Dine in]

Anastasia's has been around for years I remember when it was called Dennio's sp?
I also remember the food being better,I mean the pasta was all right, not super but alright. service wasn't very good but why should it be.looking at the menu I noticed gratuities included in the price, don't any of these Manager/Owner types know that TIPS means (To Insure Prompt Service) it's way of expressing gratitude for service and should dealt out accordingly if you get bad service the tip should reflect that. It's not a way for cheap people making you pay their staff higher wages. I could understand it for large groups. but not for two people.I won't go back.

Not the best deal not the worst
Submitted Saturday, October 10, 2009 - 9:03pm [Dine in]

I had never been here before , so when asked to to go there for dinner I was all for it. my wife had pasta with a cream sauce as did her sister both were quite happy with it, appetizers were are alright, the crab cakes didn't impress me ,I had the Steak with pepper corn sauce I asked for medium and got rare, the Caesars were good.
the waitress was friendly courteous , I was comfortable, I think the price was high for what you get, seems to be all about the presentation.

Cozy little pub
Submitted Saturday, April 4, 2009 - 9:02pm [Dine in]

I found the service to be decent , the staff friendly. The food was O.K nothing to rant an rave over. Prices are fair as far.
My friends and I found it to be cozy, unfortunately we had two drunks at the table beside us singing, an quite poorly at that, harmless enough but annoying.
Management should teach some of their young staff. to cut people off that are clearly hammered . which surprises me because there is a Police station 100ft down the stripe mall when you come out the door.
So make sure you take those taxi's.

Pepperoni Cafe6388 120th Street, #140, Surrey
Grouchy management and over priced
Submitted Friday, March 6, 2009 - 1:18am [Dine in]

I've eaten at the peperoni cafe since they closed their sister company Micheal's down the street on 72nd. Which was better
I found the pizza to be better than most the chains because they do use the real mozzarella not that pellet cheese dairy product in the bucket and I do Like the peperoni.
But it's very expensive unless your getting the specials which have little in the topping department
The restaurant it's self is very small no good for kids party's unless they have a hidden room somewhere.
Once in the restaurant I had to witness the owner balling out an employee. Another time the last time while at my brothers place we phoned for delivery and my brother phoned and asked if they could cook the pizza a little longer because it was soggy last time and the owner showed up at his door with the pizza and told him he no longer wanted him as a customer because he was to hard to please.
Needless to say he lost more than one customer that day.

Finally decent Chinese food in Delta
Submitted Friday, March 6, 2009 - 12:37am [Dine in]

I may have finally found decent Chinese food, I was advised buy friends to try Yummy Won Ton so I did. My self and my Girlfriend ordered two dinners for one with different side dish's and everything was very good.
Now I'm always skeptical with new restaurants because some seem to be good when they open but then slowly start to slide backwards, but so far so good I've tried the delivery. No complaints
I found some of the prices to be high outside the dinners for 1,2 etc.
atmosphere is open lots of TV's if you want to watch a sport.
But foods what it's all about so it's pretty good

Plain But Lots of it
Submitted Friday, March 6, 2009 - 12:16am [Dine in]

Fresgo's as it's known has stood the test of time,if your hungry as a horse this is the place to go.
Lots of food cheap prices, food bland but you get lots, the super sub is two meals, unless you have an animal appetite.
Bakery is nice, fresh what bakery doesn't smell good.
Decor is plain cafeteria style.

Moby Dick Restaurant15479 Marine Drive, White Rock
The Best Fish
Submitted Saturday, April 26, 2008 - 1:03am [Dine in]

I've been going to Moby Dicks for years, and fish is excellent,I was a little sceptical when it changed owners but they never messed with the recipes and I recommend it for fish an chip lovers, the batter is always crisp not soggy ,the decore is unique lots on the wall to look at with a bunch of mismatched chairs and tables and pictures some may consider a little on the cheesy side but it goes with the theme and you always have the option to eat outside on the beach ,but if you want great food this is one of White Rocks hidden treasures, fish seems to taste so much better when your beside the ocean.

Good burgers
Submitted Saturday, April 26, 2008 - 12:48am [Dine in]

I have been eating Burgers in here off and on for years not a lot because they are pricey, but they are good and you get what you pay for, as far as the wait, I think it's a fair time considering your actually getting a real homemade burger that takes the same time it takes on the home BBQ, if you want fast go get a burger at Mcdonalds with a nuked prefab patty and mustard kecthup ooze dripping out of it with the bun on sideways Yum .But seriously The potatoes wedges are hot if you order gravy theres a candle underneath to keep it hot and beer is cold, the decore could use work old faded pictures of customers the news clipping are cool, but I go for the food and to me that's what it's all about .

Submitted Saturday, April 26, 2008 - 12:23am [Dine in]

If your going for a nice 360 degree view of part of the downtown area you won't be disappointed defiantly for tourist if you've lived here all your life no big deal. If your going for food it's expensive for what you get, nicely displayed I had 3 carrots all pointing in the same direction I also had the chocolate mouse which reminded me off jello pudding when it's old and pulls away from the side of the bowl, mine had big fault running down the center, I had to go through the Wendy's drive through on Grandview HWY on the way home because I was hungry. If you want a view drive to the top of Seymore mountain at night. I won't go back, service was decent though

Good food at a reasonable price
Submitted Saturday, April 26, 2008 - 12:00am [Dine in]

I have eaten at Elizabeth's many times and taken guests there and I have never been disappointed, with the food or service, the prime rib is excellent, salmon, steak all good,I can't tell you about the desert because I'm always to full to order any, it's licensed, the owner seems to run a tight ship, staff are prompt and courteous. the overall size of the place could be bigger {more spread out}, but I find it to be good food at a descent price for the servings.
