Pho Cao Van Vietnamese Restaurant8191 Saba Rd, #150, Richmond
Your Going To Have Good Vietnamese Food
Submitted Sunday, July 16, 2006 - 2:16am [Dine in]

This place has changed my views on vietnamise food. I still remember my first time trying it here. When i got in, i was already hating the smell of the PHO, somewhat sweetish, urgy smell. Im telling you must try their PHO. The soup simply makes your mouth water, and the toppings are fresh and taste great. The tendons were a lil dull for me, since i do enjoy tendons being seasoned. If you like Cow, try #1 large or small. Their springrolls are EXCELLENT~~~ a must try side dish. If your a rice person, try their chicken and porkchop on rice. Their chicken is delish, and the porkchops are barbecued with great taste. One obvious complaint is the grill marks that the porkchops have. It tastes great but it also has huge grill marks sometimes. Unless you want cancer, bite out as much of those black grill marks as u can, but sometimes it's so good you won't even care if u have cancer.

Service - it's good and bad sometimes, the boss lady is always smiling tho and tries to say cantonese when i walk in with my mum.

AMbiance - i would say this place looks decent. It will not give u the greatest feeling, but you won't die from it since the food is so great.

Overall, best vietnamise food i have ever had. You may see me shortpotato in there sometime in the future.

Fourseas Chinese Restaurant8162 Cambie Street, Vancouver
fourseas restarurant = great dessert + fine food

Alright, I have not dine in this restaurant for over 1 year now but i hope this experiece i have had has still not changed one bit. First off, the dessert IMO is the one of the best desserts i have ever eaten. It is free from a 3 dish combo or any dish combo. This means you order 3 dishes from the menu, get unlimited rice, a big bowl of their soup of the day, and dessert depending on # of people. Now, the dessert they serve is either mango pudding or the steamed white egg (you know what i mean if you can read chinese :D). Now holy smokes, the steamed white egg dessert is truly an inspiration to mankind. The egg white with the right amount of sugar and milk is steamed in a small cylinder. Let me tell you, you have to try that out. It is piping hot with a hint of ginger which really kicks it up a notch. Now dishes I would recommend are the pepper pig stomach tip stir fry and their special fourseas tofu. You will thank me after trying these dishes, but i have had times where they did not entirely cook the dishes the right way so watch out.

The service is alright, with ur casual ordering and yes sir no sir.

The dishes itself take no time at all but the steam egg white dessert may take u some time, but it is well worth it.

The look of the restaurant will not give u an amazing feeling, with it's side mirrors and such but that should not take away ur appetite.

Overall, if your a handyman who wants to try some good chinese cusine with the family, try it...

Submitted Sunday, July 16, 2006 - 1:48am [Dine in]

well, i'll start things off by informing you guys that i personally have never liked or tried curry before UNTIL ive been to mui garden. Mui Garden simply changed my views on curry and perhaps even the india religion.HEHE :D. You see, i am a very pick eater and i only eat traditional foods that are well prepared and that are very tasty. Drop by in Mui Garden for it's Fish Curry. People may think fish with curry, ARE U FREAKING NUTS?? yes i am, im nuts by how good it tastes. Seriously, the fish is fried just right and the curry is the only curry i tried and liked. Once i tried Mui's curry, i never have ever eaten any other curries. Well, thanks for your time and i hope u believe wat i said.
