Stepho's Greek Taverna1124 Davie St, Vancouver
good for cheap

I've been to stephos a few times now and I've always ordered the lamb, can't go wrong with it. Portions are huge and I never finish so I save half for the next days' lunch. The only downfall i could think of is the lineup....geez, usually takes 1 hr, there was one time where i waited 30 mins but that's rare. I also got tired of waiting one time and went a few stores down to the other greek restaurant (i heard it's the same own) but food is about $1 more but i think it's ok, compared to having to wait 1 hr just to get a table. Service is alright, never had a problem. Although i was sitting outside the patio area and the restaurant next to them had their back door open with a sign that says (come in we're C*NTS)....not very appropriate but I guess it's not really stepho's fault!

I use to come here for ayce.....but i've discovered other places that have a better menu. their food is ok for ayce, service is decent, but i find the place pretty dirty and not well maintained. I haven't been there for a while now but it's one of the decent ayce in bc.

i'd highly recommend toyama in the robson area, it's got an amazing menu and it's newer so atmosphere is great. But service is mediocre

Lin Chinese Cuisine and Tea House1537 West Broadway, Vancouver
Typical Chinese restaurant

I've been there a few times and I've never been disappointed with their food. It's a litle pricey for what you can get elsewhere, by like a dollar or something, but it's on broadway/granville area so everything's alittle more pricey. The waiters/waitresses are always friendly and I never have to wait too long for my food. I've never tried their bubbletea but usually I'd go to an actually bbt place for drinks like that. Highly recommend trying at least once, I usually go there if I crave chinese food in that area.

Worst ayce ever

Went there yesterday for some late night ayce and it was just a disaster. There were 2 girls that were sitting there at 8pm waiting til 830 (b/c that's when they would start taking names down), then we were the second group. By the time it was 830, 7 other groups showed up and pretty much put their names down before we (and the other 2 girls) were even able to talk to the hostess...who clearly knew who was waiting there for 30 mins before all the other people showed up. We get to our table and they threw us the order sheet and dirty dishes. After filling out our order sheet, we had to wave and speak super loud to get the waitress' attention. By the time the food came, nothing was hot, cooked but not hot, like it was sitting at the counter for 30 mins before they brought it out. Raw fish on the nigiri was far from fresh, half of our order of beef ribs and gyozas came, and at least 3 items we asked for did not come at all. So we ordered more food but waited about 30 mins before we even got the food....and of course it was cold by the time we got it. We asked for more napkins and water, the waitresses were full of attitude and did not care to serve us at all. When we were waiting to pay for the bill, the so-called manager and waitresses were all talking and throwing people's credit cards around, throwing the bills on the floor, very unprofessional. With service like this, I can't believe this guy was a manager. I probably would've enjoyed eating fastfood at the food court even though this was only $14 plus tax. Oh and we had a group of 5 and was forced to add 10% tips onto our bill....group of 5....really?!?! With such horrible service and food, I wouldn't have given them 10%. One last bit, don't even bother going to the bathroom, it's disgusting with toilet paper and paper towels everywhere, it makes you wonder how they sanitize themselves before serving you.
