Fabulous decor! Fabulous service! Fabulous Food!
Went for brunch on Sunday and am so happy there is such a great place close to home to for brunch, lunch or dinner and know it's going to be great. I had the Lobster Fritter Eggs Benedict and omg - the presentation was wonderful and it tasted even better. The portions were not chintzy as I was not able to finish my potatoes or the beautiful generous stack of lovely fruit. My dining partner had the Chop breakfast and forced himself to finish - lol ....
As we were walking out we saw other diners having the 24 layer chocolate cake with homemade ice cream and we can't wait to go back with at least 2 more friends and work our way through an order of that!
Our server was extremely nice and sweet and great about educating us about the premise of Chop, so we are really looking forward to going back for a steak and also to try their homemade hamburger burgers.... also want to go and just have a bunch of appies ... hmmm .. looks like a few more visits to work our way through the menu.

I was recommended to the Blue Canoe by a vendor at the Steveson Farmers Market one afternoon and have been returning ever since. I go back and try something different on the menu each time and am never disappointed. The location is fantastic, the staff are very fun and personable and the service is great. The ONLY drawback is that the dining room is very noisy due to the type of building it is, I guess, but I much prefer to it outside where there is very very good heaters and they provide all the fleece blankets you may need ..... I do hope the noise issue gets handled, as it could be a rough winter season for them.
I'm so glad that I don't have to go downtown for this type of dining and that they are here in Richmond with us.
