My partner and I eat here regularly, we love it! The fish is amazing and the fries are chunky and satisfying. The service is friendly, the place is unpretentious, welcoming and very comfortable. My only grumble would be that the salads aren't home-made and not always super fresh, and the rice similarly tastes a little packaged at times. But stick to fish with fries or the superb fish cake appetizers and you won't be disappointed.

I found the atmosphere very odd at Dharma Kitchen, it seems to be trying very hard to be something it's not. It's definitely tranquil but I found it pretentious and unfriendly. Which to me is in direct contradiction with the teachings of Buddhism. Our waiter was incredibly unsympathetic about my food allergies, and refused to put my dressing on the side. He was quite condescending about it and I wasn't made to feel comfortable at all. The food is most likely made from quality ingredients but the dishes themselves aren't very distinctive. My rice bowl came with a huge amount of garlic and I didn't find the dish well-balanced. You can get very similar rice bowls, cheaper and more tasty at the Naam....without the attitude. I had high hopes for this place, it's a shame my visit was tainted by the poor service and confusing atmosphere.
