Not as good as I expected.

I had read quite a few reviews on Mogul Gardens, and found out tha it was maily a catering restaurant, with great food. And personally i'm all about the food. But surprsingly it was the food, not anything else, that really disappointed me. I ordered a sandard dahl and naan, because i can eat a dahl even if it is gross. And this dahl, i was expecing to be great. But sadly it wasn't, kind of oily and a little burn too. it was very hard to finish. the restaurant iself was pretty small, but noneheless the server was quite nice, always there when i needed anything. As for value, from what i ate, it wasn't worh i. I thought of complaining, but i'm not that kind of person. The naans were good though, not too burnt but a litle extra crunchy. I might come again and order something else, because their dahl isn't that good.

It was like any other typical indian restaurant, not much of a wow factor. it was well balanced with good food and nice service. The raita was pretty good but the food a little too salty, but not oo much of a problem. Nothing much more to say. I might come again, it's not all bad, and it's a good location too.

Disappointed To Say The Least

It was a little busy, with a couple guys infront of me, and I was waiting in line to pick up sweets, because it sounded like a good place to go to. When i was my turn, the guy acted like he didn't care and didn't even reply to what i said. He just filled a box of sweets with an unfriendly looking face, not even trying to smile. The only things he said to me was $11.22, and once I paid he said next. So I left a little rattled, thinking atleast the food was at a decent value. But the sweets were pretty stale, and he rasgulai weren't even a little juicy. Thats when i decided i'm not getting my sweets from that place again.

The Best Restaurant I've been to in a long while.

I just found out about this website, so I don't have many reviews, but I have been to many restaurants. Those other restaurants always had some flaws, whether it be poor service, cheap/tacky food, even one with no heating. We have never been to a local restaurant more than once. I love Indian food, but I had trouble finding one to commit to, till I heard about Planet India, an up and coming restaurant.

The food was simply amazing. Saw an ad of Planet India stating they had the "Best Butter Chicken", which i hardly believed until I tried it last night on Christmas Day. I ordered Medium-Hot, as I like things spicy, and boy it hit the spot. Although there were a few tears, I handled and the sauce was perfect. The naan was nice and chewy, the way I like it. And under $30 between me and my wife, we were full to the stomach and we still had some leftover!!! The service was exceptional. My server was very attentive and gave me recommendations on what should i try, and she always had a smile. And it was pretty busy too! The value was what I expected, because this isn't just another cheap indian restaurant, it has quite high class. And overall the joint was clean, washrooms were surprisingly clean, as if no one had even used the toilets. And the lighting was good and it was a fun experience. I will bring my kids with me next time, which might be on New Years.

Overall, if you are a family man, or even a single dude out with his buddies(which I also saw when I left), you will like this place.
