I am a frequent customer of Akari in Delta. I have tried other Sushi places in the area, and none hold a candle to the quality of the food at Akari. No, it is not the cheapest place. No, it isn't the fanciest decor, and the service is - regular. They are VERY friendly, though.
Quality of food is the #1 importance to me and Akari delivers that, no question. Remember if you are in there and it sems a bit slow even though the restaurant is not very full, they do a brisk take-out business as well, and the kitchen is probably swamped.
I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience at Akari. A little slow sometims, but the quality is well worth the wait.

Went to this new (old) place for the first new time! That is, this little place used to be called "Taste the Art",and actually, the food there wasn't bad, either. But the atmosphere used to be much more "lunch counter"-esque.
Nice new atmosphere, good service and excellent food. The "I've only got 30 minutes for lunch" crowd should probably order ahead, but they were by no means slow. If you want a nicer place to take your customers or clients for a business lunch, and you want to conduct a little business over a decent meal, I recommend it.
They also have a cafe out through the back of the restaurant and a nice meeting room that houlds about 20 poeple for private lunches / meetings, etc.
Overall, nice new place, friendly. Give them a try.
