Not sure what to say
Submitted Saturday, August 4, 2012 - 12:31am [Dine in]

I've been here quite a few times in the past 4 months.

Food: Acceptable, but lacks value. The price is WAY too expensive and not worth the quality/quantity of food they provide. Plus, the location it's situated should not be in that price range.

Service: It's ok. If the restaurant is packed, expect to wait a bit more longer. There is this one guy who needs to learn some manners. Putting the tea cups on the table with a LOUD "boom" is unacceptable.

Ambience: It's got some style, and noise level can be a bit too loud during dinner times. I think it's time for them to renovate the place, and stop taping food menus on random walls.

Will I go back again? Probably no, but I won't say a "definite" no.

Will I recommend the place to my friends, family, or co-workers? The answer is "NO".

I recommend phoning the restaurant to reserve a table beforehand. The last two times I was there, people got irritated for waiting 30 minutes for a table. One of the person, who didn't phone in to reserve a table, was just absolutely rude. She stormed out, without saying anything. HELLO!! If you didn't reserve a table, naturally, you'll have to wait! WAKE UP!

Worst chinese restaurant
Submitted Sunday, June 24, 2012 - 11:59pm [Dine in]

I phoned in at 5:00 pm to reserve a table for 6 people for 7:30 pm. When we arrived, ~7:15 am, there were empty tables available (not reserved), but we had to wait for ~20 minutes until someone actually saw us and led us to the table. By this time, I was EXTREMELY disappointed. After ~5 minutes, then we got the menu and it was thrown on the table! HOW RUDE!!! After waving for someone for another ~5 minutes, finally, a waitress with rude manners came and quickly took our order. After 45 minutes, the first dish came out (chicken in wine)!!!! In chinese restaurants, chicken are usually pre-made and just need to put sauce or quickly heat it again. Why the heck did it took 45 minutes for our chicken to come out. And chicken in wine is a COLD dish!!!!!!! And then afterwards, the next dish came out after half an hour! By that time time, I am already pissed. We asked the waitress why are dishes taking so long, and she said because most people in the restaurant are ordering hot pot foods, and there aren't enough chef to cook entrees for those who are not eating pot pot. OMG!!! What an excuse. The dishes are SMALL for the price they charge. Taste is OK, nothing special. Parking is a NIGHTMARE! We had to park on the street, which cost $$...... I will NOT come here ever again! I do recognize anyone to come here. Food is SO SO, and service is a nightmare. Expect to wait at least ~1 hour for 2 dishes to come out. We ordered 4 dishes and cost about $99.74 (include HST). I gave them $4 tips, which I thought, was generous.

If this restaurant wants to service in this area (this area is filled with good tasting restaurants), then they need to invest on hiring competent servers.

The Worst Restaurant in 2 Years!
Submitted Saturday, September 26, 2009 - 6:51pm [Dine in]

Even with the economy so weak, there are still a few restaurants that serve poor food and present the worst customer services! This restaurant is one of these restaurants.

Food: The food is O.K. At a price above most Chinese cafes, the selections of food and the prices do not match. You can go to other Chinese styled resturants that serve better foods with better prices. The dishes are quite small, especially the AAA steak that I ordered. It was burnt on the outside, and it was hard solid like a rock.

Service: Terrible! All the waitresses were frowning at us (my mother and family friends were with me). I asked a waitress (long pony tail with glasses) a few questions and she started to shout back at me. She looked really impatient so I just ordered the "Lunch Specials" which are about $10 in average, while other restaurants that include a cold glass of drink free of charge only charge about $7 to $8. A waitress should never shout back at her customers. It's totally unacceptable!

Value: With services like this and foods overpriced, I can't really give them a high score but I wouldn't give them the lowest score because the food was O.K.

Ambiance: The restaurant is small and cramped! It's very dary inside, even when the sun was shining so brightly outside. It's not a high class restaurant anyways so I don't even know why it was so dark.

I didn't enjoy eating at this restaurant and I will NEVER come back for a 2nd time, even if my friends pay for me. I will make sure that I let me friends and family know that this resturant is not worth going. Food overpriced! And the service... It's the worst I have seen in 2 years! If the food is priced at a more reasonable $ and the waitresses ACTUALLY smile once in a while, then it wouldn't be so bad. But I'll never go back. That's for sure!
