Wow! Wow!
I had dinner at this restaurant tonight and it was unforgettable in every way. I must say that I'm not sure why there were any reviews that weren't 100% positive on this restaurant: "still ironing out the wrinkles"? Certainly not these days!
Matteo served us personally and paid every attention to us: it was like we were his own personal dinner guests. I have never been so pleased with a dining experience before! The food was unbelievable. I am a vegetarian and he created numerous dishes for me to sample: every single one was perfectly fitting to my picky diet and each dish was absolutely tasty in and of itself. Every time Matteo walked by the table, he was bringing more little treats and tastes and dishes to try out. The wine was flowing. The desert was something out of a dream: so simple and light but satisfying.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. It was not too formal and stuffy. The decor was whimsical and inviting and the candle lighting was lovely. Everything (including the restrooms) was immaculate and clean. The prices were very reasonable. This is a higher end restaurant, so if you're used to a $15 per person Earl's type meal, then this place is not for you.......but I can't stress enough that the value is incredible. I feel like I really got my money's worth.
All in all, this was just about the most enjoyable dinner I have ever had. The great service was so refreshing: all the staff treated us like we were their esteemed family and friends (and we are really just a few average young ladies). It is so nice to go somewhere that is free of the usual arrogance that you can often experience from people in the service industry. I'd call this restaurant a fine dining experience without the fluff and fuss....but with all the well placed attentions that one can truly appreciate.
YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE OUT......I know I will be talking about this dining experience for weeks and months to come.
