Pretty nice ambience (much better than you get with your average vietnamese joint, in any case) and service was quite nice as well. We had the beef pho, wonton soup and vietnamese pate (which translates to a palatable processed ham with a garlic sauce). Price-value is quite nice (e.g. 7 dollars for a substantial medium bowl of beef pho), and we plan on going back to try some more stuff. The wontons in the wonton soup were delicious, by the way. In terms of MSG usage ---- clearly some use, but rather mild, especially compared to similar places.

While, I'm not going to comment on the food, as we haven't had it yet (one of us had it, and says it's very good), let me just say that we did 3 phonecalls trying to negotiate a delivery.
Why is anything on UBC grounds excluded? We were forced to go to Sasamat to pick up the "delivery".
My friend comments that if you do wish to have Papaya Hut, you might prefer to go there directly, rather than ordering in.
Fun times, kids, fun times.
