Chambar568 Beatty Street, Vancouver
One of the best restaurants in Vancouver
Submitted Saturday, February 23, 2008 - 12:10pm [Dine in]

Chambar is easiest the best restaurant in Vancouver. The food is to die for - the mussels with Belgian fries and a Stella Artois is a match made in heaven. And only $20 for the mussels - sure beats flying to Belgium for the real thing. The service is great - attentive, friendly, accomodating - they are even willing to open your bottle of wine for a corkage fee. And when they are setting the table - they bring the cutlery out in a wooden box with compartments - all organized - classy! One of my favs and will be entertaining here for business for sure.

Prima Taste Restaurant570 Robson Street, Vancouver
Great Experience

We love the food at Prima Taste - it is really the best Singapore food in town. But tonight we tried something new - they had something special called New Singapore. Curious - we all went for it - the first course was Italian springroll - a spicy springroll with cheese - excellent balance! Crispy, cheesy and spicy.
Next was Seafood Laska spaghetti brimming with mussels and seafood - Laksa is our favourite but this must be a new interpretation of Laska - the Laksa flavour was subtle and the sauce tasted of cream and wine - what a great way to enjoy an old favourite. By now we were stuffed - but it came with dessert - a Tiramisu - we were a little perplexed what is so Singaporean about this but it was still good. At $25 per pax - it was cheap. I hope they offer more new dishes. Totally awesome!
