Pho Ever1669 Pear Street, Victoria
Disappointed
Submitted Thursday, November 12, 2009 - 6:17pm [Dine in]

Stopped by Pho Ever for a late lunch, and was excited to try this new place out. Unfortunately, I was met by unprofessional staff and poor service. The food was brought out quickly (because nothing was freshly prepared). The Pho tasted like instant like instant noodles, and there was hardly any meat. The spring rolls were also very oily, and lacked flavor. In the end I spent almost $15 for a useless lunch! Skip this place, try Little Thai place next door, or Fujiya across the street.

Dim Sum Brunch
Submitted Thursday, August 20, 2009 - 10:38pm [Dine in]

This restaurant is always packed, but we did not have to wait that long to be seated. I am so glad we tried this place out! The servers were constantly rolling out carts and took the time to explain what they had. My personal favourites were the taro Dumplings, the siu mai, har gau, and The squid which was AMAZING!! Altogether the bill came to about $25 for two people, and I definitely prefer this place to Don Mee. If you are looking for the best Dim Sum in Victoria, you must give this place a try!

Awesome Dim Sum!
Submitted Wednesday, August 5, 2009 - 12:09pm [Dine in]

The restaurant was packed, and well worth waiting as their dim sum is the best! The prices were quite fair, although you had to yell at the servers to come in you direction. My only complaint is that the servers are not proficient in English, and did not want to pause and explain what was in their cart if you did not know the Chinese term for it (this makes it difficult for people who do not speak Chinese) Overall definitely worth a visit! (but bring a Chinese speaking friend)

Satisfactory food, although not worth a second visit.

The Food was rather expensive, and flavorless although the desserts were good. There were ants crawling all over the table due to the numerous potted plants, as well as grit in our clams. The food came rather quickly, but left much to be desired. The Spanakopita was dry and bland, while the lamb was overcooked. This restaurant is not worth a visit, and I would skip it if looking for quality Greek food.
