When we first walked in and looked at the menu, we almost walked right back out. The prices are a bit outrageous for burgers and fries, like $15 each. But there is a way to do it for under $20 and you won't leave hungry! Go for the small burgers. They're still 1/4 pound and with lots of toppings, it's almost too big to eat. Share the fries. Trust me. Get a small fry and share them. The fries come in a normal size paper cup, which is full and more than enough for one person. It was hilarious though....look in the bottom of the bag. There was about 4 more cups of fries. A rediculous amount hahaha. It seemed like everyone else was getting the same. And they're really good too. Fresh cut, thick, cooked in peanut oil....yummy!! The other way to save money....share a drink. Get a small, and you can refill it as many times as you want. They don't seem to care either. They recommended that we do it that way, if you don't mind sharing! Plus you get free peanuts while you wait. We really enjoyed our experience and couldn't finish it all for under $20!! Maybe a rip off for one person, but a great deal for two if you know how to order!
Cute little diner, good coffee, usually packed and a bit too small. A bit slow to get your order, but worth the wait. All organic good quality food and not greasy. Good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. One of the better breakfast places for breakfast/lunch in the lonsdale quay area!
I don't know how this place got famous for their breakfast. It wasn't bad, but definately nothing special, considering it cost almost $30 for two people. We both ordered the basic breakfast (2 eggs, bacon and hash browns)....pretty hard to screw that up right? The bacon was undercooked, which I guess some people like, but if they're going to serve it that raw, they should ask if you'd prefer well done. Plus, they're tiny little strips...not what you'd expect for a $9 breakfast!! Everything else was ok, but lacking on quantity. Good thing we're not big eaters, because we both ate everything on the plate and would have left hungry. They do offer bigger breakfasts, but only if you want to pay $12. This is a bit much in my opinion. Plus the coffee is $2.50. So over all, the food was edible but way over priced. The service was good, but the waitress was rude when we told her it was "ok, but not great". We have been here for the burgers before and they were expensive but good. We won't be back for the breakfast. Try Moodyville's if you want a good breakfast on Lonsdale.
