Pho Hoa8500 Alexandra Rd, Richmond
Terrible service
Submitted Monday, July 2, 2007 - 7:18pm [Dine in]

I love Pho, and unfortunately there are few good Pho places where i live. Pho Hoa is not one of the good ones. The food is okay, but the service is terrible. The waitresses tend to forget a simple request like water, i had to almost beg for a glass of water. This wasn't just once, deciding to give Pho Hoa another chance i went again, but the service got worse if possible. Come the time to the pay the bill, there is no one at the counter. I had to wait for almost 15 minutes for someone to pay attention to me. I wouldn't go there ever again as it leaves me frustrated and angry.

Good hearty Italian food

We were craving Italian and decided to try out Italian Tomato for dinner. A very good decision!! We were given warm bread rolls to start with. We ordered individual dishes, which we shouldn't have, as there portions are HUGE!! Really, a plate of their yummy Fettuccine Gamberreti (prawns, garlic in a white wine cream sauce) can feed almost 3 people. The Ravioli Veneziana (spicy sausage, chicken in a spicy tomato sauce) was fresh and just scrumptious. The service is good. the ambiance is decent. Overall it was a pleasant dining experience. Will definitely go again.

Decent Thai food

We were craving Thai food and were really hungry, so instead of carryout we decided to go and eat at the restaurant instead, boy was that a bad choice!! The food is good i have to admit, i love their Pad Thai and Red Curry. The spring rolls are crispy and delicious, but the service is poor. We had to wait for 20 minutes just for someone to take our order. After we had our appetizers. it was an incredible one hour wait for our main course!! Maybe it was a bad day!! Would surely give it a go once more for their spicy, warming yummy food.. Do try Thai House.

We go to Tandoori Kona so often, for its absolutely mouth watering food and excellent service. The butter chicken is a winner with its creamy texture and divine taste. The meal comes with vegetable/chicken/fish of your choice with rice ,naan, and poppadum, and is a lot, so prepared to be either stuffed or have carry out boxes with leftovers!! The chicken pakodas are melt in your mouth good and the meat samosas are spicy and satisfying. If you are a lover of Indian food and are craving a taste of India, Tandoori Kona is a place you must visit!!

Food from a can

Went there for my sister-in-law's birthday, thinking of mouth watering freshly made pasta... We were very disappointed... The pasta tasted rubbery and right out of a box. The seafood did not taste fresh at all. We did not even finish half of our meal. The only good thing was the Gnocchi in a meat sauce. The ambiance is rustic and homey but the food is anything but that. Disappointing experience.
