Pleasant for pizza
Submitted Sunday, November 2, 2008 - 5:35pm [Dine in]

Five of us split three Calgary Stampedes pizzas (meatlovers) and a couple bottles of Chilean red. The pizzas were as good as any I have had. The service was very good. This place has half price pizzas Monday and half price pasta Tuesdays. Two people can split a lasagna and a bottle of wine and go home satisfied.

Clean the toilets

Popular and often lined-up means this long-term establishment enjoys continued success. Last night the (pork) schnitzel arrived a little dry and overdone. The men's room fixtures were streaked inside and out. It's a fun local establishment, but is it the best schnitzel in town as the advertise? Doubt that.

Change the buns

This difficult to find pub has ambiance, a good free pool table, free shuffleboard, a few HD TV's and an adjacent Friday night cabaret. I tried the hamburger. As with many places these guys need to find a good bakery and get buns that make their burgers worth coming back to. They put the pay-per-view hockey in the cabaret which is a lousy rec-room type of place for a hockey game. Better they use the pun TV's.
