Had dinner here a couple of weeks ago. I had the $21 set menu (I chose steak with mushroom sauce) and it was pretty good for the price. The salad that came with the meal was fresh and nicely dressed. The bread and butter was really yummy and fresh also (the butter actually tastes like butter and not hard little lumps of lard) and the steak was cooked just the way I like it and the fries were really good as well.
My only complaint is that I substituted my dessert for the creme brulee which was a mistake as the creme brulee was not cooked properly (it was curddled). Next time, I'll probably stick with their set menu.

My boyfriend and I have been travelling and eating our way through Europe for the past year and a half at some of the best French restaurants and we still looooooooooooove (and miss) Le Crocodile and have not found anything comparable to it yet. I've always order the duck breast and foie gras and for the dessert, my favourite, profiteroles that comes with the melted belgian chocolate inside the blue kettle (don't know if they still have that). The duck breast is tender and out of this world. The service is always impeccable and not pretentious; the sommelier is always charming and funny. The quality of the food is excellent and the price is definitely reasonable (I think even if they charged more, we will still go back there).
Definitely Le Crocodile is one of the restaurant we are most looking forward going to when we return to Vancouver.
