Cool HotPot Experience
Submitted Tuesday, June 22, 2010 - 9:26pm [Dine in]

I'm a vegetarian so my point of view for this restaurant is different from meat eaters. We went to Posh in a large group and overall the service was good/quick. The food was fun to make! Definitiely a cool experience. This is indeed a very posh place for hotpot (unlike the traditional cheap-looking one's in Van). You can order lots of veggies if you like. My friends found the food very, very good (incl. the meat). Overall, a cool hotpot experience, nice ambiance, and good Japanese sukiyaki-style food. Worth going there on a date or with friends.

Authentic Indian Food -- Best in Victoria
Submitted Tuesday, June 22, 2010 - 9:16pm [Dine in]

Yummy food and good service. I come from an Indian family and this restaurant is as close as it gets to authentic, home-made Indian food. It's simply delicious and very satisfying. I like how Da Tandoor is consistent with their food, taste, and quality. I've compared their food with Indian restaurants in the Lower Mainland, and I find this one is actually better than those. I'm FROM the Lower Mainland so it's very interesting for me to make this claim!

It's a little restaurant with amazing food and very good service. I've been there many times -- same quality, great taste, and good service. You can't go wrong here if you're craving Indian food. And most likely, you'll keep going back (like me). I usually get the Vegetarian Plate - about $14.

Don't order from their DRINK menu!!!
Submitted Tuesday, June 22, 2010 - 9:02pm [Dine in]

I went there last week and the food was okay/good. The service was fast, but their portions are small. We made the mistake of ordering a drink when the waitress asked us what we wanted.... the drinks did not arrive! We finished our meal without the drink. Ended up asking 3 different servers about what had happens to our drinks. So, the male server attempts to prepare my caesar drink... I don't think they had a bar-tender (or if they even have one regularly)... My caesar drink was A JOKE! It was so home-made and gross...I laughed out loud at how pathetic it was. WELL - it would've been better if they just told us about them not having a bar-tender to make my drink INSTEAD of attempting to make it without any experience.

If I'm in Richmond and I'm craving sushi...I think I'll skip because the service is just strange and food is nothing amazing. They did not bring us our drink (caesar and beer). We finished our food and drove to a convenience store & got ourselves a drink. I've had better sushi at Akari in Surrey. This place has a very confusing looking menu...and the price is okay.

Good place to eat when in Whistler!
Submitted Thursday, October 9, 2008 - 10:38pm [Dine in]

This Earls offers a nice ambiance, it's really busy.... so if you're looking for good food and good place to eat, def. go there. The service is good (compared to AMSTERDAM cafe, read my review for that).... Earls offers great food. AND really good drinks!
You get what you pay for....nice place to go if you're looking to get your night started. I really liked my exp. I've been there maybe 3-4 times. :)

OH MY GOD. I've been waiting for this moment. Okay, I went to Whistler in July for a festive occasion with my sister & friends. After spending our weekend, we were about start our drive back homke. We thought we'd grab a bite to eat so we went into this place.

OH MY GOD, it was THE WORST restaurant experience of my life thus far. The waitress was the rudest one I've EVER met. She acted like we didn't exist! There were two seperate tables of 4 of us (not side by side, but across the patio). I VOW to never go in that place again. The waitress brought the wrong food and gave US attitude. We were tired and exhausted and all we wanted was: decent food. It was breakfast time, their hashbrowns looked as if they brought them out of the fridge and threw them in front of you. They were served HARD and COLD. The music was roarding LOUD, boy it was horrible! In the morning, you don't want to hear ROARING loud metal/rock music.

So back to the waitresse's rudeness. I wish I could TALK rather type about this. She gave so much attitude when all of us were being nice thinking "what's going on, maybe she thinks we're rude"? The girls on the other table had SUCH a bad exp. that they didn't tip her and LEFT. So this girl made US stay in the resaturant, and FOLLOWED the group of friends to go ASK for the tip. They refused and the other bartender made one of my friends STAY in the restaurant =S It was scary! They cannot do that! MAN oh MAN, I cannot put into words, how RUDE she was. She didn't come talk to us for 15 mins at a time. Did I mention, wrong food orders, COLD food, and horrible atmoshphere. Okay I'm going to stop. Simple put = DO NOT GO THERE! I would NEVER EVER go there again. They treat you like you are nothing :)!!!!
WOW. The worst place to go eat in Whistler. And WHAT a way to ruin our mood, after having a great time and heading home.

I would give ALL 0's, I feel guilty giving 1 for Poor. There should be a 0 for HORRENDOUS!!!

Good food, small portions!

Their sushi tastes pretty good... I like Ebisu in Richmond but can't drive all the way there from Surrey. So glad I found this place. I'm a vegetarian... I find their portions really small, compared to other places. Prices are a bit high as well but oh well, it's worth it (I think). Seems like a clean place to me and I've been inside. It's a nice and quiet place to sit down with your friends/family and enjoy good sushi.

Great Food!! You have to try to believe :)
Submitted Thursday, October 9, 2008 - 10:00pm [Dine in]

The first time I tried thier food, I was really impressed. I've been here a few times (maybe 4)...and each time I loved my food! It's really delicious, be careful of how "spicy" you want it to be, and DO tell them. Their Manchurian chow mein is yummy! They have big portions as well. It's a good idea for pick-up....too bad they are not open late. I think they close around 10 or 11 pm.

I wouldn't sit down and eat their...I have done it once but wouldn't again. I rather pick up my food and eat it at home! Even though they are a small little place, they make up for it with their food....it has always been really busy everytime I've gone their.

Definately reccommend trying it :).

Located on corner of 64th and 120th... across from the 711 (the other plaza) with FishWorld, Opus Laser Clinic and Champers etc.

I've been to John's few times.. and each time I was impressed with the food. The food is really good. It tastes fresh and hearty. I like the ambiance of this small place... it's nice and cozy. Definately give it a try, if you like greek food or are looking to try something new. I have recommended it to my friends, you get what you pay for. I haven't had any complaints about it. I sometimes order a few pitas for pick up with Tzatziki their sauce!

Good for a quick/random night out with friends
Submitted Thursday, October 9, 2008 - 9:47pm [Dine in]

I've been to this BP a few times and I've noticed a few of the same things each time of my visit. The service has usually been good. The atmosphere has usually been pretty loud because they have the bar right in the middle of the restaurant. I noticed their food portions are small...sometimes smaller than normal. Which I find strange. :S

Good place for a quick bite with friends. During evening hours, it's not a good family restaurant to go to for dinner... a bit loud for my taste. The prices are high, compared to what you get in your plate (the size).
