Not much to look at but well worth a visit
Submitted Friday, August 3, 2012 - 4:12pm [Dine in]

I have been lunching in the Heights area of Burnaby for years and have never had this restaurant on my radar. After reading a review here, I stopped in for a late lunch and tried the buffet. I am not generally a fan of the buffet, but it's a good way to get a lay of the land. The food is excellent, staff is friendly and you can't beat the value - $10.

There are a few Indian restaurants in the area and this the best.

It's not much to look at from the outside, but it is well worth a visit!

Best Donairs!

I have been going here for years, and they have the beast donair I have ever had. They have 2 white sauces and they are dynamite! Lamb, Beef, Chicken, Falafel are piled deep into pita with a bunch veggie topping. This is a big donair, so make sure to get a few extra napkins!

They ding you an extra buck for the feta and don't mention the extra cost. Forgivable for a great donair at a great price.

A little gem

This little place has saved me more than a few nights. When I work late and get the call from home telling me I am on my own for dinner, I make the call on my way home and 5 minutes later a piping hot bowl of Pho soup is waiting for me. It's a really great broth, and incredible value, $6 for a huge bowl. Add a couple spring rolls for the kids and I am good to go!

Just a great local family run place.

I saw on their door, they offer an all you can eat sushi special, $20. So I thought I would take my family for a nice sushi dinner. The all you can eat is a great way to let the kids try a variety of dishes. I was leery about there 'all you can eat' offer when I read the warning that you will pay full menu price if you don't finish every item, including all rice.

We order 2 adult and 2 children all you can eat specials (my children are 9 and 7). The waitress asks the kids ages and we tell her and she leaves with our order. She comes back to our table to let us know that the cut off for children is 8 and my 9 year old is an adult. The children's all you can eat is $14 - adult $20. There is no way on god's green earth my 9 year old is going to eat near $20 of food.

We go over the menu again, order off the menu for the kids and the all you can eat for the adults. Uh, no can do says the waitress. It's everyone or no one for the all you can eat. I guess they don't trust that food won't be shared. So back to the menu for a third time.

The food is ok. The service was not good.

If they are that afraid they may lose a nickel on the all you can eat menu, they should not offer it.
