Kisamos Greek Taverna3420 Moncton Street, Richmond
Best Greek in town!
Submitted Monday, June 17, 2013 - 9:41am [Dine in]

Been to all the major Greek Restaurants in the lower mainland and I would have to say that in terms of taste and quality of the meal, Kisamos is my favorite. Their Kalamari is SO tender and their Roast Lamb is amazing.
Now, being a bit of a food critic, I have had moments at the restaurant where the food quality didn't meet my expectation. But that happens. I don't base my reviews on the bad moments. As for service, its a hit and miss along with the ambiance. Not sure why the service level goes up and down, but the food generally is what I am there for. Otherwise, this is my place to go when I want Greek!

Steamed buns....

I love their steamed buns! Hate the parking, Hate the service....But I will and have put up with that for years and I would still go back! If parking is an issue (Which it is in Surrey), there are locations in Richmond and Vancouver Chinatown. They do have a website too!

As authentic as it can get.

I recently visited Burma a few months ago and loved the food there. So when I heard a Burmese restaurant was open in Vancouver (VERY RARE), I had to try it. I was not disappointed. The flavors were colorful and memorable like my trip. The best part is that no single dish is over $8.00. Wow! I know Burmese food takes time and experience to make and for a dish to be this cheap is amazing! However, the menu selection is not huge, the taste makes up for it. Would love to see them add the Burmese cold noodle salad in there! Its REALLY good.
