As a food enthusiast in Vancouver, and an individual intimately versed in the Vancouver restaurant scene…Curious exceeded all my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised at the Montreal / New York ambiance. Vancouver has a reputation of "to cool for you" attitude in many of its more popular restaurants, which you won’t find at Curious. Not only is the food outstanding but its simplicity and authenticity is truly refreshing against the gamut of urban fusion fare, and post modern designed bars in Vancouver.
From the moment you enter the warm red brick building you are greeted by friendly smiles and super hot doormen; which doesn't hurt, to the chef himself, serving the dishes. My favorite is the Butternut Squash ravioli.
PS. Take the time to read the menu too...it’s well...Curious.
I really like the menu here. A great variety of hot and cold sushi dishes. The chef has a geat imaginatio and really works with the whole fusion concept well.
The service was a little lacking last time I was in. I figured they had understaffed...but still come on its a freiday night....get with it.
Try it and try the Alaska Roll. WOW!
These places are great, healthy and hearty. It is such a nice change from burgers and ham and cheese for lunch.
It would be great though it if the embiance could be a bit cooler. Maybe btter lighting too.
I really like the take out and take home options. As someone who is pretty busy and gets home late. It is really nice to be able to by your lunch and dinner in one stop shop!
Thanks Guys!
Love this place. Love this place. The food, the people, the anbiance....its all great. I have tried many of the dishes and everything so far has knocked my socks off...not to mention the bevey's.
It is hard to get in though...and I'd say that is because its the best restaurant on Davie...the most populated neighbourhood in North America.
Try it....and get the Tish Tacos!
