Edible Canada at the Market1596 Johnston Street, Vancouver
Dissapointing
Submitted Thursday, May 8, 2014 - 3:39pm [Dine in]

This was my first time to Edible Canada, so I decided to try it out after hearing the hype. Service was very slow, and we waited quite a long time for our food, and by the time we received it, our wine glasses were almost empty. The table next to us sent several items back to the kitchen. My fish was not very tender, and the steak was not very warm.

For the price of the food I would expect a lot more. The quality was more like a national food chain.

Dissapointing for my first time
Submitted Thursday, December 13, 2012 - 7:07pm [Take-out]

I decided to try this restaurant for the first time with take out food. The take out menu said they deliver for free within three kilometers, and knowing that I live within two kilometers I decided to call them and place an order.
They said I lived outside of the delivery area and told them I didn't. They tried everything to make me not order from them and after several attempts to convince them I lived with two kilometers, they said they would take my order, but they still tried to convince me to pick my order up because delivery would take a long long time. We waited about 1 hour and the delivery arrived.

The rare beef Pho was very poor quality. The beef soup stock was bland and the beef gristly. The spring rolls
were also very bland. The only bright spot was the lemongrass chicken was tender and flavourful.

From my experience they really didn't want my business, and they food was not average. I doubt I will order from them again.

Not so Stellar
Submitted Sunday, May 31, 2009 - 5:52pm [Dine in]

I wasn't too impressed with the service and food at Stella's on Cambie. I asked for my
steak medium rare (on the rare side) and it was served well done. Instead of serving our table cold water to drink, we all got warm water mixed with vinegar. They even charged me for an extra drink when the bill arrived. Let's hope they get their act together, otherwise it shine may wear off soon.
