I used to work near the Bombay Bhel and I would go there about once a week. Their take on Indian food is awesome especially the Butter Chicken but I have had other things there and it is all great. It's so good that once in a while I'll take the 20 minute drive to pickup an order and bring it back home to satisfy my Bombay Bhel cravings
The sushi here is excellent - the only better sushi I have had has been in some of the better downtown restaurants so if you want great sushi then definitely go to Hi Dozo. But you might want to consider take out.. The service isn't good - I've yet to see a single waitress smile and I've been there maybe 30 times. Probably a cultural thing I guess but the food is awesome so I'll keep coming back.
I eat here quite a bit because it is extremely convenient and I've had a lot of different things on the menu. I hope they really re-evaluate their restaurant because it is nice to see local businesses become successful.
I don't mind paying more for good quality but there is the problem, the food just isn't good and the prices are high. Service is ok but again, I would expect better if I'm paying $20 for a sandwich, soup and pop... Their "steak pomme frittes" is awful - well the pomme frittes are actually really good but I had to order it a second time to see if maybe I just got unlucky but no. The steak is poorly cooked, poorly seasoned and a cheap cut of meat. I had their Tuna burger and it was well done which was disgusting! I could go on and on with what was bad but there are a few good things - the yam fries, the Anduille Sausage and the Croque Monsieur are all good but also difficult to mess up.
Not sure what else to say but it is hard enough for a restaurant to do well when the food is good but bad food and bad prices doesn't bode well for the future of the Orange Room. I hope they turn things around and that means starting with the food.
