I recently went here for my anniversary, and chose this over La Belle Auberge for French cuisine. I must admit that I was disappointed with the ambience (it is very loud) and overall, for French, I would pick La Belle Auberge anyday over Le Crocodile.
My wife's Chilean sea bass was GREAT, but my beef was only okay. The Grand Marnier souffle at the end was very good, but the waiter FORGOT our coffee and latte(I didn't remind him, though). That being said, the food was great, the service was good (young French kid with an OVERLY French accent, added to the atmosphere), and the restaurant is more trendy than I thought it would be. I would go again, as it was good, but if you're looking for French, and don't mind paying, try La Belle Auberge.
I avoided this place for a long time. I watched it's first location, but when it moved ato a larger premises, I still wasn't sold. After going here with some Greek food loving friends, I can say it is either the best (or second) place for Greek in Richmond. It is much better than most Vancouver Greek restaurants. Portions are good sized (try the platters), service is excellent, and the atmoshphere is lively and entertaining. They have belly dancers which are supposed to be very good, but I haven't seem them yet. Definately a place to try!
This is by far the best quality all you can eat sushi in Richmond. Very good and fresh, more expensive than most, but worth every penny. Good place for work lunches, and they have private rooms too. Ambiance is not their strong point, but they are clean and well lit.
I really like this place as a family or couple's dinner stop. My wife and I go here with some friends of ours and the food is always good, the service is prompt, and the atmosphere is nice. I do hear that before 5:30 pm on weeknights, the place is filled with "white hairs" or retirees, so it might be hard to get a spot, and don't bring any crying kids, they may not like it. I would recommend this place to anyone, though.
One word - LASAGNA. This lasagna is the best I have ever had. Their meat sauce has some type of cream in it (hey, I didn't say it's the healthiest), just enough to give it a unique flavour. I have taken three groups of people to this place, all very different eaters, and they all love it. The ambience is more of a local restaurant, which is too bad since it isn't romantic, but it will blow your mind. You HAVE to try this place (but don't tell too many people!).
This is the place to stop when in the Robson area for a quick bite. They have awesome kebabs (lamb, chicken, beef) and make it the way you want, asking you what veggies you want to add. Excellent place, highly recommended!
My first time at this restaurant was this past weekend and everything that was written was true! The food was great, and lots of it! The platters are amazing (very filling and heavy) and the atmosphere, from the decor to the staff is terrific. Nice place to go with a group of people. Call for reservations always on weekends, and ask for a booth with cushions to add a nice touch.
This place is the epitome of Vietnamese food. Perhaps the food is not the most suthentic, I don't know not ever having gone to Vietnam, but the quality ss great (beefballs in the Pho are amazing!) and the serviec is very personal, given by what seems to be an extended family. These people actually care what you think. I am now a regular there, but even before that, I was asked how the food was on more than one occassion. This is one of the busiest Pho places in Richmond and for good reason. The spring rolls are second to none. Try it out, support our local business and experience clean, healty Pho.
