Tasty take out Lunch Menu
Submitted Wednesday, April 1, 2015 - 9:01pm [Take-out]

Good take out lunch. This place is consistently a fairly good place to eat. I ordered barbequed chicken and noodles .Was looking for fish on the lunch menu but they had none. On previous occasions, I had come in for dinner. My picks are the kaldereta, bulalo , chicken ihaw and the jackfruit ice cream.
The only downside is parking. If the street parking is not available, you need to find parking in the residential areas around Victoria.

Efficient unobtrusive Service, pleasant staff, ok food.
Submitted Monday, March 9, 2015 - 11:29pm [Dine in]

The Peking Duck was recommended and sure enough, it did not dissappoint. How can anyone fault a well done peking duck? The wrappers had the right thickness, although they are a little small for my liking, while the duck was cut too thick, as though they counted how many people were in the party and just cut enough for one chunk of duck meat for one wrapper each. The dining experience felt somewhat budgeted and skimpy from that moment on. The rest of the food was ok, not memorable at all. I have tasted crabs done better in most other Chinese restaurants. The presentation of the steamed fish was awful, It was a mess put together to resemble a fish. So all in all, the service was allright but the kitchen has to step up on their side of the business.

good XLB
Submitted Monday, March 9, 2015 - 11:07pm [Dine in]

The XLB was being hand made when we dined there. We were seated right away but the place is full. It is always full whenever I drive by. The consistency, texture and meat filling of the XLB was very good. The rest of the other food we ordered, hmmm, not that great, just ordinary mediocre. But overall, it was not bad at all.

BEST SUSHI RESTAURANT.Great Place to Eat. Explore the menu.Dont forget to check the specials board
Submitted Saturday, May 24, 2014 - 8:18pm [Dine in]

This is a great sushi restaurant with very good service and reliably good food every time you come in to dine. This can be during very busy lunch hours, late at night or slow Tuesday afternoons.
The biggest problem is parking. Across the street is a shopping mall and if you choose to park there during the day, be very carefull when you cross the busy 6 lanes street,

One of, if not the best sushi places in Vancouver, their menu is full of suprises.

Mediocre food.. Salty sauce The servers were great kids.
Submitted Saturday, May 24, 2014 - 8:01pm [Dine in]

Tried the recommended dynamite salad. So so, not outstanding, the solid clump of ginger slices for sushi thrown into it was out of place in the taste mix. Too salty white sauce of unknown origin with the chicken wings, it looked and tasted like jello and sourmilk with salt. Server said it was blue cheese. I love and eat blue cheese regularly and believe me, there was no blue cheese in that salty milk jelly sauce. Fried calamari tasted acceptable(kitchen staff knew how to cook it) but I cant help but notice that the calamari was supertiny baby squids. The smallest I have ever eaten (diameter as big as your pinkie)

The service is ok but the food needs tweaking and improvement. The total value for the cost of dining here is 2 out of ten, 2 and half at the highest. One leaves with the feeling that this place has a small economical food budget but wants to appear and charge customers with fine dining rates.

acceptable dimsum place but not spectacular nor memorable. Soup is watery bland and tasteless,
Submitted Wednesday, October 3, 2012 - 7:48pm [Dine in]

This place do not boast of great tasting dimsum like its neighbors. The dimsum they serve is poorly seasoned and did not even taste like they were made by someone who knew what they were doing,
Very unspectacular and amateurish is the right description.

Mind you, this place used to serve good dimsum so there may have been a change in source or chefs and cooks.

The service remains good but ultimately what brings customers back is great tasting food. SO shape up.please.

Bubble World Tea House6260 Fraser Street, Vancouver
Somehow the drinks here are not as full, not as tasty and not as great a value as they are in other bubble world branches. The staff do not hide the fact that they are very anxious for the money part or payment .
Submitted Sunday, September 16, 2012 - 11:04pm [Dine in]

The restaurant is small and the menu is basically the same as the other branches
But there is something missing. The volume is smaller, and you feel shortchanged .The servers appear very anxious for the payment part mostly.
i went there, ate there, thought it had an overall skimpy feel, I returned to check if they had new store jitters and the quality and most importantly the VOLUME got better to match my favorite Bubble world branch ..
IT DID NOT..
Not coming back for another similar experience

Good!
Submitted Monday, July 11, 2011 - 2:17pm [Dine in]

No matter what time of the day you drop into this place, the service and value is solid and constant.

Breakfast has the best value, and this is readily seen by the line up to get inside by 1130 AM.
Service is fast and efficient. You get a free drink with an order for a dish. Cold milk tea ! Refreshing.
Parking may be an issue occasionally.
Now if this place can come up with a late night menu as well, I think the line ups can go on 24 hrs.

Buffet at River Rock, The8811 River Rd., Richmond
Not Bad, but not good either. Shrug shrug- and unmemorable
Submitted Monday, July 11, 2011 - 2:03pm [Dine in]

This buffet started out great when RIver Rock first started many years ago. It was a welcome addition to the nice places in oten to bring friends and family for celebrations and special occasions.

Then the food became run of the mill, mass produced and cafeteria like in quality.
Edible was a word that came to mind. Though you can see men dressed as chefs milling about in the background, the food that came out of there and into your plate was not any step up what a fast food bulk cafeteria can produce. All for show.

There are other better places to bring the birthday celebrant in the family or mom during Mothers days.

Had high expectations from recommendations of friends but did not experience it for myself.
Submitted Wednesday, April 14, 2010 - 11:09pm [Dine in]

The good thing I can say about this place is that they know how to cook potatoes. There are some places who cannot cook potatoes if their lives depended on it.
The rest was mediocre, the coffee ordinary and mediocre, the toast soggy, Nothing was hot. Even the omelette was soggy.
I suppose the ones who said the food here was good had compared it to really lousy places.

FAS is bad [food, attitude and service]. WIll not recommended to anyone
Submitted Wednesday, April 14, 2010 - 11:01pm [Dine in]

Parking in this area is non existent so it was a bit of a hike. The food was very dry and the service was bad.
Even the coffee was warm instead of hot. no refills are offered. They never came with the glass of water requested.

Yes- the place somehow looked like a diner in some lonely town somewhere in the boonies but I have been to those and they usually have huge portions and very good coffee.
This was in the middle of Main St and surrounded by pretty decent places to eat.
Nope - this is definitely rates a C- grade.
