Good!

No matter what time of the day you drop into this place, the service and value is solid and constant.

Breakfast has the best value, and this is readily seen by the line up to get inside by 1130 AM.
Service is fast and efficient. You get a free drink with an order for a dish. Cold milk tea ! Refreshing.
Parking may be an issue occasionally.
Now if this place can come up with a late night menu as well, I think the line ups can go on 24 hrs.

Buffet at River Rock, The8811 River Rd., Richmond
Not Bad, but not good either. Shrug shrug- and unmemorable

This buffet started out great when RIver Rock first started many years ago. It was a welcome addition to the nice places in oten to bring friends and family for celebrations and special occasions.

Then the food became run of the mill, mass produced and cafeteria like in quality.
Edible was a word that came to mind. Though you can see men dressed as chefs milling about in the background, the food that came out of there and into your plate was not any step up what a fast food bulk cafeteria can produce. All for show.

There are other better places to bring the birthday celebrant in the family or mom during Mothers days.

Had high expectations from recommendations of friends but did not experience it for myself.

The good thing I can say about this place is that they know how to cook potatoes. There are some places who cannot cook potatoes if their lives depended on it.
The rest was mediocre, the coffee ordinary and mediocre, the toast soggy, Nothing was hot. Even the omelette was soggy.
I suppose the ones who said the food here was good had compared it to really lousy places.

Parking in this area is non existent so it was a bit of a hike. The food was very dry and the service was bad.
Even the coffee was warm instead of hot. no refills are offered. They never came with the glass of water requested.

Yes- the place somehow looked like a diner in some lonely town somewhere in the boonies but I have been to those and they usually have huge portions and very good coffee.
This was in the middle of Main St and surrounded by pretty decent places to eat.
Nope - this is definitely rates a C- grade.
