This is nothing uncommon. Pho nowadays - or at least good pure pho - is hard to find. I've tried them on Broadway, and same story really. I'm not a huge fan of their other stuff so I will only rate them on their pho. Sometimes it's pretty decent for a fast lunch meal, but other times it's not. The ambiance is nothing impressive at all, but then again, what else would you expect from places like this. At least this new location is somewhat newer. As for the pho, I still taste too much artificial sweetening (MSG). Some would say that they use good quality beef. Maybe so, but I can tell when I'm being fed artificial sweet stuff. I'm disappointed that they call themselves the "Best Vietnamese Restaurant" when they really are like every other.
Anyhow, that's my take on it.

I've been frequenting Pearl Drops quite a lot - a little too much some would say. So I guess you can say that I am another one of their loyal customers. I just got around to trying their top-of-the line tea drinks. I tried their Solar Flare, and let me tell you, it's nothing like anything I've ever had before! They've got these premium drinks they make with their teas and exotic fruits. Definately give it a try (don't let price make your judgement). I think it's fair enough to say that Pearl Drops has my vote for best tasting tea and most creativeness for any tea place in town. Their staff are always friendly, and their service always impeccable. Keep up the good work guys. You'll be seeing me soon.
