Samurai Sushi on Fraser6428 Fraser Street, Vancouver
bad sashimi
Submitted Wednesday, January 19, 2011 - 2:56pm [Take-out]

After reading a few reviews, my bf and I decided to try this place. We went and ordered the house rolls, california rolls and an order or sashimi. When we got home, we saw that the rolls were huge! It's so big to a point that I can't use my chopsticks... the sashimi was HUGE and thick and didn't taste like good salmon. The price is cheap and portion is big but I would not go back there ever again.

Yummy Rolls!
Submitted Friday, November 12, 2010 - 12:21am [Dine in]

I went to charcoal with my girlfriend for dinner. We ordered sashimi, kobe beef stone bowl (so good), charcoal roll, big crunch roll and some short ribs. The rolls were huge and delicious, my favorite out of the 2 wouls be the big crunch roll. The stone bowl was so good, the beef came rare in a hot stone bowl, the waitress mixed the rice on the spot and after we waited 5 min the rice touchin the bowl got crispy.... sooo good. Make sure to book reservation if you are going after 6 cuz it gets really busy and there isnt alot of room inside.

Good Brisket
Submitted Wednesday, November 10, 2010 - 11:56am [Dine in]

After reading some reviews for Memphis Blue, my boyfriend and I went to the commerical st location. We parked a block away and walked to the restaurant. The servers were really nice. I ordered the Combo plate and chose the ribs with the brisket with fries. Fries were delicious, ribs were a bit dry but I LOVED THE BRISKET! it's a must eat when you go there! My boyfriend had the rib ends (delicious) and chicken (kinda dry). Overall I would say the food was alright... portions were huge! and for $45 it was worth it. Definitely go back again... maybe we'll try a new location next time.

Alright food, bad service
Submitted Wednesday, September 8, 2010 - 2:58pm [Dine in]

My boyfriend and I eat out a lot and by far this is the worst place we've ever eaten. Typical chinese AYCE, ordered 3 servings of meat and received 1. Ordered 2 servings of lamb got none. Asked for tea, water and pop = never came. By then we were fed up and asked one of the taller chinese girls and she returned and literally banged/threw our drinks on the table and grunted.

Seriously, I work in customer service and I understand that a bad day happens to everyone... but seriously, she's one rude bitch.

Actually, all of them are rude except this chinese girl that speaks no English.

Amazing!

My boyfriend and I eat out at least 4 times a week for dinner and Chubby Lamb is one of my favorite restaurants. Cheap prices and fresh food. Service is a hit or miss but most of the time, we get great services from the staff. The owner is really nice and when we tell her that "our food didn't come" she'll simply bring us our food from the kitchen.

In comparison to Cattle Cow hot pot whose a few doors down, their food and service was shit. Left no tips.
