Great find!

What a fabulously unique little gem! Very tiny & very quaint, the quality of food & service far exceed its square footage. We had the Sangria & mulled wine - FABULOUS after a fridgid stroll around the village. The French Onion Soup was devine & generously portioned, followed by a VERY generously portioned Raclette for 2. Word to the wise: think twice about an appetizer because the main course was massive. The canadian maple syrup icecream sundae was absolutely SINFUL - I'm still doing pennance for it! Marvelous little spot, prices are typical for this type of restaurant. I can't wait to go again! Exept this time I'll wear elastic waistband pants!

Love it loved it loved it! Originally from Montreal, I forgot how wonderful Jewish culture & cuisine is! Walking into Solly's was like visiting home. The breakfast bagel sandwiches are great & so's the coffee and the pastries! The ambiance is like a friend's living room & the music was jazzy & real cozy! Nice work, see you next time!

Horrific Dining Experience
Submitted Wednesday, January 10, 2007 - 12:15am [Dine in]

When we first arrived, I figured the experience would be really nice, because of the ambiance. WRONG. I ordered a spicy beef dish & I'm fairly certain it wasn't beef - or at least any part of the cow you should eat. It was riddled with fat & didn't taste anything like beef. Before I said anything, the waiter looked at me & said "Its no good, I know". So I cancelled that & instead ordered the lemon chicken, which is a battered & deep fried dish. Sadly, I was hard-pressed to find the CHICKEN inside the cardboard-like batter. Aside from the non-existent chicken, the dish was very poorly prepared & the lemon sauce tasted like Mr. Clean. I was shocked & thoroughly disappointed by the poor quality of the cuisine. I paid, but I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I'll never go back.
