9th Avenue Grill1822 West Broadway St., Vancouver
Great spot for breakfast
Submitted Sunday, January 17, 2010 - 5:13pm [Dine in]

This restaurant seems to be pretty popular so you might have to wait 15-20 minutes to get a table there on a weekend morning, however the good service and tasty food is worth the wait.
The servers are personable and helpful. I had the 9th avenue omelet, it came with hash browns and toast - I was pleasantly surprised with the egg plant in it. My friend has a 1/2 order of the 9th ave eggs benny which were also great.
The use healthy natural products in their meals which is a plus (eg free range eggs).
Overall you could get the same kind of stuff at a bigger chain breakfast restaurant however the ingredients are better at 9th ave as well as the service.
Well worth stopping by if you are in the neighborhood.

Damiko7280 200th Street, #2, Langley
Best in Langley

I often go to Damiko - it is defiantly the best Sushi I've had in Langley. Good portions, good food, good service and good value. They are very accommodating with pre-orders and take out as well. The only problem is that to get to it off of 200th street (south bound) is a pain because there is no left turn into the complex.

Ebisu on Robson827 Bute Street, Vancouver
Good Food

Great spot on Robson, tasty dishes which were brought out in reasonable time. The restaurant was pretty busy, however the service was still good. The prices were reasonable as well. Nice touch with the Saki in the bamboo jug and cups.
Can't remember what the dish was called but it was one where the waitress came and "blow torched" it on your table - it was great, highly recommend it!

Take Sushi4528 Hastings Street, Burnaby
Take(s) too long
Submitted Sunday, June 22, 2008 - 10:43pm [Dine in]

Three of us went to “Take Sushi” on a Sunday, the restaurant was not too busy – 50 to 75% full.
Ordered a Goma-ae, Appetizer Sashimi and a Pacific Roll, it took about 35 minutes to get the order. The shrimp in the Appetizer Sashimi tasted as if they were straight from the freezer. Server did come to refill the tea a couple times. When we went to pay for the meal the phone line was busy so we had to wait about 10 minutes for the VISA transaction to go through.
The interior of the restaurant was decent and the food was decent as well (other than the above mentioned shrimp) – by far much nicer than any of the sushi places in North Burnaby; however the service was not up to par at all.
