Let me preface this by saying I live about 2 blocks from Las Margaritas and although I've handed out 3's across the board I do find myself going fairly often it seems so there must be something. What I wanted to note is that my friends and I have notice a marked improvement in the food at Las Margaritas in the last few months. Previously I was not a fan but for some reason everything for the salsa to the entrees seems to have taken on a more authentic Mexican flavour of late. Food across the board has gone up a star in my books and I now find my self wanting to go instead of going by default of proximity

I've been on a bit of a Steakhouse kick of late visting the Vnacouver staples and a few in the US and I must say the food at Gotham was fantastic and my Porterhouse (the king of steaks in my books) was one of the best I've had. The room is Modern but still gives a steakhouse feel and the atmosphere was casual but upscale. My sole issue with my visit was the service. Our evening began well with a frinedly greeting and a waiter that offered suggestions that were helpful, but deteriorated with our waiter getting scarce as the meal continued to the point that we had to ask to have our plates cleared and were forced to request the bill from another server as ours was nowhere to be found. I will give it another shot because the food was that good. I'm hoping the service was an anomaly, It is a fairly expensive meal and the service simply was not up to par.
