Nice place, but lacks in service and quality.

Ordered the Gnudi today... Tasted alright but really quite cool in the middle. Not cooked thoroughly. So I sent it back for a refire because, well at $18 you had better get it right.

By the time everyone at my table was done their food, I received mine.

Not an offer to company any of it. Not that I like being comped my food, but places with good service usually comp food when it's like this.

Service was way too slow... We sat their waiting to pay our bill for about 15 minutes.

Overall, over priced, mediocre food, mediocre service. Beautiful ambiance.

Way too slow for lunch.

Cold steak sandwich, indifferent server who seemed to struggle with smiling... Not a bad pub; beautiful decor, but pretty low quality food. I've been their twice and was honestly left disappointed each time.

Not a bad place to watch a game and down a pint, but I'll probably not be going back there for lunch any time soon.

My favourite thing about this place is the lime/grapefruit juice margaritas. Love sitting on their patio on a hot summer nice pounding those guys back and enjoying their awesome food.

Their Flautas are awesome. Their enchiladas are excellent. The live music is nice too. They're always accommodating with our kids as well. We never feel unwelcome with our kids there.

Outstanding Indian Food

Found this place just walking by and thought we'd give it a go. Had the Chicken Chettinad which is my new favourite Indian dish - amazing, and the Lamb Vindeloo - a perfect level of heat. I was working up a sweat eating that.

The Naan is cooked in a clay oven and it's really tasty. Very impressed.

We went on a Thursday night and didn't have any issues at all with the service, it was excellent.

Really nice ownership, and I love the $2.50 sleeves. Nice frosty mug of 1516 beer to drink while you wait for takeout. Love the place.

Oh and I've been a fan of the franchise since discovering it in Bellis Fair Mall a few years ago ( closed now ).

Langley, let's do these owners a favour and show some support - they're really nice and I hope they have some staying power.

Underwhelming

Took the wife there for our anniversary. I ordered the Sockeye special. While I usually know what to expect with Sockeye, I swear it felt like the meat hadn't even been seasoned. While I understand that salmon should never be over seasoned, and don't like it drowned in sauce, this seemed to have hardly any seasoning at all. On top of that, it felt a smidge over done. I like my salmon to flake a bit more than it did.

I've personally had much better salmon at other restaurants and was left wondering why I overpaid.

If you consider Italian food nothing more than simple pasta and sauce, and consider value as a function of quantity instead of quality, then you're better off at Antone's. This place makes excellent Italian food for a reasonable price. I recommend the veal marsalla. The lamb is also to die for. His Zambuka salmon is pretty darned good too.

The chef / owner was the chef / part owner of Amici in West Vancouver which has received positive reviews.

He also teaches at one of Vancouver's cullinary institutes.
