The boy and I went to Stella's on Saturday night for his birthday dinner. There was a long line up when we got there, but since we only needed a table for 2 we were seated very quickly. Bigger parties definitely had quite a wait. The atmosphere was upbeat, and fun, if a little noisy at time. As someone else mentioned, not the best place for a quiet, romantic night, but perfect for a fun night out.
Our server was friendly and attentative. She took our drink orders promptly and came back quickly with our drinks. She checked on us frequently enough during the meal, but was not overbearing at all. The beer selection is fantastic here and the martini/cocktail list was impressive also.
We had the beef carpaccio, marinier mussels with bread, poutine, caesar salad, and duck breast. All of the food was delicious but the carpaccio was definitely my favourite. The crispy capers, garlic sauce all complimented the delicate beef perfectly. Save room for dessert too...we shared the creme bruleé of the day (white chocolate and espresso that day) and it was delicious. Light, creamy, and the perfect way to end our meal.
We will definitely be back soon!
