Finally great Indian right in Ladner
Submitted Wednesday, July 6, 2011 - 10:16pm [Dine in]

My husband & I used to drive all the way to north Surrey for Indian.... not anymore!! Bombay Joe's has been open for a few months but we just made our first visit and we will be back!! The restaurant is quite small but the decor and ambiance is very nice and modern with small, personal touches. The Bollywood movie on the big screen was a really fun touch!

We ordered Naan, Chana Masala, Palak Paneer & Butter Chicken. The Naan was probably the best I've ever had, very fresh and tasty. The Masala was very great and spiced just right for me! My hubby proclaimed the butter chicken to be the best he's had. Overall a fantastic dinner and we have leftovers for lunch!

This is a family owned business, the husband & wife are the hosts and servers and they are both lovely, personable people. We enjoyed their suggestions with the menu and they made sure we had everything we needed in a friendly and fun manner, they make you feel very much at home.

It's about time that the stale Ladner restaurant scene got something new and exciting!!

This is some of the best Thai food in the entire lower mainland. The ambiance is fresh and lively, love the use of orange. The food is always freshly made and very authentic. My favorite things are the spring rolls, chili chicken and the broccoli/tofu dish. We eat here at least once a month and have never been disappointed. We recently dined here on Thai new year and had a blast! The special buffet was great and the blessing for the new year was really fun.

Service is always great with personal friendly attention and fun interaction through out the meal

Awesome diner food!

Personally I think the lower mainland needs more places like this! A lovely little family owned diner in Langley that is reminiscent of what Langley used to be. Great fresh food, cheap prices and fast, friendly service. Located on the Fraser Highway in Langley it's a great place to stop if you are doing a little day tripping in the valley.

Four of us met for lunch and everything was fantastic. We sampled the chili burger, the mushroom burger, roast beef sandwich and homemade broccoli soup. The portions are large, the fries and burger patties are hand made each day. If you are feeling really hungry, try the Everest burger, 3 patties, sausage, ham, it was insane and the guy ate the whole thing!

The Hilltop Cafe is definitely a bright spot in over commercialized Langley

This is the only sushi restaurant we go to anymore. Good service, awesome huge menu and good pricing. Much better quality than any of the all you can eats. The food is always fresh and well presented. Lots of veggie options for the vegetarians and good daily specials

Won't be eating Lotsa Pasta again

Ate here for the first time last night and won't be going back. Service was incredibly slow and poor, our glasses sat empty for about 20 minutes while we waited for our meals. I had to ask the waiter for a refill after he dropped off our very late entrees otherwise he would have rushed off.

My husband ordered the Fettucine 48 which was supposed to have peppers, herbs, proscuitto and shrimp. The pepper and herb were missing and the proscuitto was thin, poorly cut and tough. Over all bland and lacking in flavour. I ordered the Agnolotti with brown butter sage sauce and the sauce was more like melted butter with salt. Both of us felt our pasta was undercooked

This restaurant used to be La Strada and I believe it's the same owner. The menu really hasn't changed since La Strada, the service and food quality certainly has.
