Come To this Place for Indian!! You won't regret it
Submitted Thursday, December 2, 2010 - 3:06pm [Dine in]

I am such a big fan of butter chicken, I cannot say enough. I have only tried the chicken tikka masala, goat curry, lamb masala, and butter chicken here and I absolutely adore this place. I used to drive all the way out to Vancouver from Surrey to eat Indian because the only place I knew was the India Bistro. Let's just say, after I found this gem, I never drove out to Surrey for butter chicken cravings again. The sauces are rich in texture, tone, and just speaks for itself. The na'an is the best I've ever had here, and the rice is pretty good too. The only thing I'd comment on is that the chicken can sometimes be dry, I would let the owner know. He is such an awesome guy, loves feedback. He's the one with the British accent, love him!

Love the raw oyster blowout here! It's ten oysters for 14.99 with a bunch of sauces you could put on top. It's basically what I come for. And the beef sashimi and sashimi salad mm... I'd say the rolls are mediocre and not worth ordering. Great ambiance, very busy restaurant and okay service. Cheap drinks!

My favourite sushi place
Submitted Saturday, October 2, 2010 - 2:03pm [Dine in]

If you are a sushi lover, this is the place to go. I'm not talking about the kind that just eats california rolls, i'm talking about specialty roll sushi lover. I love specialty rolls, and this is the place to go if that's what you are looking for. My favourites are golden california (california roll with salmon sashimi on top with orange sauce drizzled), lemon tree roll, dragon roll, and super tiger roll. I always reccommend this place to family and friends. It's way better than sushi train in my opinion. Great eat in surrey I'm a frequent customer.

Best greek place ever!
Submitted Saturday, October 2, 2010 - 1:58pm [Dine in]

This somewhat hidden gem (it's in a small plaza kind of hard to see is amazing. I've been to a few greek restaurants, and so I have an idea of what to expect for food. Souvlaki, spankopita, calamari etc. Anything you eat at this restaurant is amazing. I'm not much of a salad person, more of a fries girl but the greek salad here is amazing! I don't know if it's the dressing, or the cheese but it's solid. The soups they have are pretty tasty too but the best thing is THE RICE! so aromatic, so tender, and just delicious. If you like greek, this is the place to go to. You get your bang for your buck. It's a little classier then a lot of greek places, so nice ambiance and you pay a little bit more for that but it's worth it.

I had an entertainment coupon for this restaurant, and upon reading reviews on here my boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant over Best Thai Food Restaurant for dinner. Upon entering, the restaurant was busy and it took about five minutes for somebody to take us over to a table and seat us. It was your typical asian restaurant service, no greeting just straight down to business which is fine. We ordered pad thai, and two different types of chicken dishes one with red curry and one with chili paste, nuts, etc. It took about half an hour to forty five minutes to receive our food because there was only one chef and the restaurant was pretty much full. The chicken dishes were delicious, the red curry was better than places that I've tried. We were most excited about the Pad Thai, our expectations were high because the chicken dishes were so good. Do not order the Pad Thai, it's usually brown and has a great contrast between sweet and savoury. This one did not, it was pale and way too sweet for Pad Thai, I felt as if I was eating candy noodles. I will give that the Pad Thai was a big portion. The manager of the store( a man) was so cheap about entertainment coupons, the coupon was buy one entree get one free, he had posted a sign everywhere saying that you cannot use this coupon unless you spend $30, that is not what the coupon states. I did order over 30, but it still frustrated me that he posted this everywhere because it contradicts the coupon. This place also charged 5.50 for a "medium" bowl of rice, I felt really ripped off because of that. All in all, I think I won't be coming back to this place unless I'm really really craving those chicken dishes, but even then, I'm going to go somewhere else because it's not worth the wait or the money. I'm going to Best Thai Food Restaurant next.
