Don't go with a group
Submitted Monday, November 17, 2008 - 7:47pm [Dine in]

I hate it when this site removes reviews for no good reason. I already reviewed this terrible place and it was removed. I wrote nothing that was against the rules.

We went with a large group and had called in advance. The service was terrible, the bills were all wrong. The kid's food was way over prices and under tasty, and burned. Some people waited up to 1.5 hours for a meal while the person next to them had finished and hour before. Some people never got anythign and were still charged. It was an awful dog fight and I woudl NEVER take a group there again. Plus what food did come was nasty. ANd then they added on a 15% "service" charged and didn't tell people so they'd still tip on top of that. Booo.

Further to my earlier review this year, I guess those yahoos got fired. Now there is an AWESOME girl working there who is pleasant, fast and sanitary! She appears to be the ONLY person wokring in this place duing the week, There never seems to be any help, but she manages brilliantly! The owner should give her a HUGE raise. Plus she makes the BEST pitas of any pita pit location. Your rock pita pit girl!

I was prepared to be underwhelmed
Submitted Sunday, October 19, 2008 - 12:52pm [Dine in]

But I was pleasantly surprised. Went on a Friday night at about 8 is. Very busy. Got a praking spot right up front. was told there was a 45 -60 min ute wait. No problem not in a hurry. Found the only 2 seats in the lounge, ordered drinks and a appy and were seated in 20 minutes!

The waitress was friendly but not obnoxious and knew the menu well. All in all the appies and drinks were pretty good value, but the entress are way over-priced. ALl the food we had though was delicious and cooked perfectly. The mushreooms that came with the steak though, taste like they were canned - very bad.

To be honest I think we were packing horshoes that night but I will give it another go.

Not Cheap TAke out
Submitted Monday, September 8, 2008 - 9:40pm [Dine in]

I don't eat out in JApanese restaurants often, not really suer why. But I love California and Dynamite rolls. Ordered on of each for take out and it was over $10. I Pay under $7 for same quality at the mall places. THere should be a discount for take out. Any way the rolls were good, and the California had avocado and not cucumber like the cheap places.

ok indian
Submitted Friday, August 1, 2008 - 8:45pm [Dine in]

Had a lunch special. The naan was really good. Everything else, so so. I like Indian food so that wasn't the deal. It wasn't really hot. The pickle was not good. Everything in the little bowls all just kinda tasted the same. There was nothing like a curry at all. It included some kind of dessert that seemed like a really runny rice pudding. The texture just grossed me out. The atmosphere was good but some of the waitresses didn't even know what the menu items were. Would not return.

Disapointed
Submitted Monday, June 23, 2008 - 10:04am [Dine in]

I am surprised at the reviews here. I went for a weekday lunch and to be ohnest I felt the specialty California wrap to be EXTREMELy small for the price($8). I was still starving after. Plus I had to go back and check if the shrimp was really shrimp or chicken as It was so dried out and it was really hard to tell even by taste. I think there much better value out there.

I really wanted to hate this place...
Submitted Friday, March 28, 2008 - 9:48pm [Dine in]

but I couldn't. Im not fond of tourist trap hotel restaurants, but after staying at the Ocean Point Resort and being too tired to go out I sat in the lounge one night. I agree with the seafood comments, there weren't enough onthere to make me think I was in a seafood specialty restaurant. I looked at the menu and since there was only one vegetarian entree on it, it was what I had. I had wild mushroom risotto with truffle oil and parmesan crisps. It was excellent and came with bread, and adorable mini steamed vegetables. They did bring a "comlimentary" amuse bouche, which they left but I noticed it had meat in it. If someone orders aveg dish you think they'd ask before bringing you meat. Anyway I didn't eat it. IT was $19.99 and the other entrees were up in the high twenties.

The only downer for htis place was the wine. I ordered 2 glasses and they were the kind that was 2inches of wine and eight inches of glass. Thats a realy turn off to me. Then to top it off the menu said it was $10 a glass(yes the cheapest on the menu0 and they charged me $12 on the bill. I had to ask for it tobe corrected and they did but thats the oldest trick in the book. They server said" OH they JUST changed the computer and I guess they forgot to chenage the menus." Uh huh. Try the place but watch your bill.

Regular greek restaurant
Submitted Sunday, March 16, 2008 - 10:06pm [Dine in]

Went for lunch. Server was really friendly and helpful. THe restaurant like many Greek restaurants was decorated the same and had the plants growing all over the place. Always makes me wonder if they ever clean up there. I never find these type of restaurants, this one included very clean. Had the prawns in butter after the server told me you get two more than on the skewer for hte same price. I found them diapointingly small. The bread was the regular white fluffy pita bread(not a fav). Greek salad was ok and I got extra(although not much) instaedof rice. The potatoes were greasy cold and tasted burnt. They were left on my plate and no questions were asked byt the server. All in all an average unememorable greek restaurant.

Can overlook poor service......
Submitted Tuesday, February 5, 2008 - 3:00pm [Dine in]

unless the food is equally poor. We tried a dine out here and had just about the worst service I have ever had. The waitress was completely indifferent and did not even know how to open a bottle of wine, claiming it was "not my forte"!! HUH??!! Every one her her mistakes was corrected by an awesome bus boy who should have been the manager. When I spoke with the manager at the end of the meal he seemed to care about as much as the waitress, not asking me for any names or details.

The sambal chili prawns were simply 6 sauted prawns with bottled thai chili sauce on them. I could do that at home for less than 50 cents. I was also supposed to get bread as part of the appy but they "ran out" and just didn't bring it until I was done the prawns. The seafood pasta supposed to be in a garlic cream sauce yet there was no detectable garlic in there. It was mostly rubbery clams with a few pieces of raw salmon in it. YUK

The slow service saw us getting our bottle of wine(after we had to ask twice and them contacted the bus boy) as we were finishing our meals. Our after dinner coffee came the moment I put my dessert fork down.

The location is nice and the building is nice(but noisy) but I can assure you there are far better restaurants around and I won't waste any more money there.

Whats the fuss?
Submitted Friday, January 25, 2008 - 3:21pm [Dine in]

I wouldn't stand in line for 5 minutes to eat here but did when I could walk right in. The breakfast protions were huge and too much. The french toast was bland and the hash bronws nothing to write home about. The eggs bene thing I has was ok but again not memorable. I found it quite epensive. The kids enjoyed the kitchy decor, but I foudn it kind of unsanitary. Would eat there in a pinch but wouldn'd go out of my way to.
