Bombay Restaurant, The2748 Lougheed Hwy, #205, Port Coquitlam
An average quality Indian restaurant.
Submitted Sunday, December 16, 2007 - 9:21pm [Dine in]

I have been to the Bombay noon buffet on several occasions and have never left hungry. The butter chicken is good and so is the Tandoori chicken. They used to have a delectable cole slaw dish but that had been replaced by diced lettuce on my last two visits. Too bad. The service is average as is the decor. The price is low. Overall, this is a good restaurant with a fair buffet price.

William Tell, The765 Beatty Street, Vancouver
Clearly excellent food in a refined atmosphere.
Submitted Sunday, December 16, 2007 - 9:15pm [Dine in]

The William Tell takes its place as one of Vancouver's finest restaurants with outstanding food and excellent service in an Old World atmosphere. The price is fair considering the quality of the food. The portions are average but the buffet is all-you-can-eat if you manage to catch it open as I understand the hours are somewhat limited.

Old Spaghetti Factory53 Water Street, Vancouver
Excellent food at a fair price!
Submitted Sunday, December 16, 2007 - 9:09pm [Dine in]

The Old Spaghetti Factory never fails to please! I have eaten here on numerous occasions and the food is consistently very good and well prepared. The atmosphere is appropriate and the service lacks nothing. Considering the Factory's low pricing this is probably the best deal in town for quality food.

Morton's of Chicago, The Steakhouse750 W. Cordova Street, Vancouver
Grossly overpriced with decent food.
Submitted Sunday, December 16, 2007 - 8:53pm [Dine in]

I have dined here on one occasion and will not go back. The prices are simply outrageous for the quality of the food presented, which is decent but nothing to rave about. The service was found to be condescending and apathetic and certainly not in keeping with the prices charged. Unless you have the need to spend a lot of money, there are far better steak establishments in this burg.

Excellent food and menu at this pub.
Submitted Sunday, December 16, 2007 - 8:40pm [Dine in]

For a pub, this establishment has a superb menu with outstanding food. The burger is not to be missed. Service and ambiance are above average. All in all, this is a superior eatery at which libations can be had as well if one is so inclined.

Memphis Blues Barbeque House1629 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver
RELATIVELY good Southern B-B-Q.
Submitted Sunday, December 16, 2007 - 12:23am [Dine in]

I have dined at two of the Lower Mainland Memphis Blues establishments and this one is better than the one on Broadway. In a relative sense the food quality is probably as good as British Colulmbia B-B-Q gets but in an absolute sense comparing it to real U.S. southern B-B-Q it is but mediocre. The pulled pork is probably their best dish. I found the ribs tough and dry, hardly falling off the bone. The Cornish game hen is dry, tasteless and poor. The price is also on the high side and the portions are not particularly large. The service is attentive and the atmosphere is appropriate.

An unmemorable dining experience.
Submitted Saturday, December 15, 2007 - 10:22pm [Dine in]

I have eaten here one one occasion and will not go back. The food is just plain bad and there is absolutely nothing memorable otherwise about the restaurant. Plus, the name is somewhat cheesy. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

A bad Italian restaurant.
Submitted Saturday, December 15, 2007 - 10:17pm [Dine in]

I have eaten here twice and will definitely not go back. I thought the first negative experience might have been a fluke but the second time was worse. The food is flat out poor, the service is mediocre, the "New York" milieu is cheesy and unconvincing. All in all this place is not worth your money as there are much better Italian bistros in the area, particularly in Port Moody.

Rodos Kouzina Mediterranean Grille221 Ioco Road, #100, Port Moody
An average Greek restaurant.
Submitted Saturday, December 15, 2007 - 10:13pm [Dine in]

I have eaten here several times and the experiences have been inconsistent. On on occasion the food will be good but on others it is simply poor. On one occasion the roast lamb was simply atrocious with basically bones and little meat. The service and ambiance are average and the prices are reasonable. If you hit a good night, the experience is positive but on a bad night, not so much.

A poor Greek restaurant.
Submitted Saturday, December 15, 2007 - 10:06pm [Dine in]

I have frequented this establishment on one occasion and will not return. The food is for the most part not authentic and the prices are high. My lamb dish which was supposed to have been roast tasted like stew. There is simply nothing memorable about the place and it is not worth the bother.

Excellent Malaysian cuisine in dim quarters.
Submitted Saturday, December 15, 2007 - 9:50pm [Dine in]

This quaint little minimalist restaurant in a strip mall serves excellent Malaysian cuisine. The service is attentive. However, the decor and ambiance are quite plain. Still, if you enjoy Malaysian cuisine of higher than average quality and the environment in which you dine is inconsequential, this may be for you.

One other thing: the hours are rather restricted. Call ahead for opening times.
