Food is always good here - lovely appetizers, mains and ice cream dessert. I only wish they would offer a bit better than one selection on a plate with rice for the main courses. So we swap and share our hearty individual main dishes and get to taste a couple that way. Eight of us ate here and we understood they would charge a 15% tip. We were ready to pay when one mathematician at the table realised we were being charged 15% on the food and beer taxes as well. The waitress said "that's our policy". To be fair she did recalculate right away it so we were paying the tip on the basic food and bev costs and not tipping on the government's share. After a few beers it is easy not to notice you are being taken.

I live nearby and go for breakfast or lunch. The breakfasts are hearty standard fare and well done with great rosemary potatoes. Portions are good for me but I notice a lot of people waste food here (especially those yummy potatoes) and that flies in the face of the Drive sensibility. Maybe they could offer a choice of portion size?
When I want a lighter breakfast I used to order coffee with one of their fresh muffins, which were great -oaty and with nuts and/or fruits. Another reviewer commented on them being dry and they are a bit. That just means they are not swimming in fat which is what a muffin shouldn't be. Just have another slug of coffee or water to wash them down. Their muffins used to be great and with good amounts of healthy things ! Now they regularly put tasteless brown coloured grease that they call chocolate chips in the muffins. Boo to junk food for breakfast! I go elsewhere.
