Mill Marine Bistro, The1199 West Cordova Street, Vancouver
For me - a local favourite

I have been going to the mill since it opened, yes, every restaurant has their 'off' days, but honestly - I have been here a TON of times and for me, it is always very enjoyable. It is close to my house, so very convenient. Their daily specials keep the menu exciting, peel and eat shrimp are yummy, lasagna & butter chicken are SO tasty! Its a small but well thought out menu and their drink list is also concise and well priced. I know many, many people who are regulars here and we all say what a great local hang out the mill is. This is not a fancy place - it is a friendly, comfortable & inviting restaurant / pub. Prices are considerably lower than any other restaurant in the Coal harbour area.

Diner1269 Hamilton Street, Vancouver
A good meal

Diner provides exactly what you pay for - a good, home cooked meal at decent prices. You are not paying for 'white-glove' service, and you dont get it (which is fine by me at these prices). My meal was quite nice, tried the meatloaf (recommended by the server).

Consistently good

I have been to Coast about 4 times now, and each time I must say, the food, service & atmosphere has been wonderful. I always order their salmon entree (they prepare salmon to perfection). Service is well informed & professional

Akbar's Own Indian Restaurant1905 West Broadway, Vancouver
Best Indian Food in Vancouver

Akbars has always been our favourite for East Indian food. The dishes are superb and we have never been disappointed. The service could be a tad more attentive, but this can be overlooked as the food is really that good.
