A group of friends and I finally had the opportunity to get together and try Blue Canoe. Without going into the details of what we ate etc... the food was incredibly disappointing, both tasteless and meager portions, terrible value for money. The service staff, while attractive to look at, are grossly inexperienced and incapable of handling a seemingly busy section.
Hopefully, given the great location and what could be, a great menu, these guys can pull up their socks and make it into something fabulous.

Having eaten at the Charthouse a number of times over the past few months and after a fantastic evening there recently, I feel compelled to write a review. The host service as you walk through the door is always prompt, very friendly, and helpful. My husband and I usually order seafood of some sort here but have sampled prime rib, souvlaki, and pasta, and all have been fresh, cooked properly, and great value for your money. Portion sizes are generous, and food presentation is good.
The wait staff are always courteous, friendly and knowledgable and will go out of their way to ensure everything is as it should be and expected. We have taken out-of-town guests here, and, on occasion, requested a specific server or table, always to be accomodated.
Steveston is a tough market for seafood, with much competition around. The Charthouse never fails to deliver on all counts.
