My little taste of Paris
Submitted Monday, April 21, 2008 - 4:49pm [Dine in]

I love it here! I've been here numerous times now after a very wonderful first experience and must say that they never cease to amaze me. The food is always perfectly cooked with generous portions. Flavours are equisite and I love the atmostphere. It's a little noisy but everyone who works there speaks French and it's very interesting to hear them converse amongst each other. Just like being in Paris! I'd highly recommend this restaurant to everyone as I think that it's a truely magnificent place. Great food for great value!

Not really worth it.

Came here due to the great reviews on this website and was very very disappointed. Service was horrible. Our waitress was rude, arrogant and very unfriendly. She got our order wrong twice and when she came with the wrong bottle of wine and the wrong dish, she didn't apologize. She said that 'this is what I thought you wanted' and walked away. The food was alrite. I've had better steak and seafood before. I wouldn't recommend it unless you really have too much money to spend.

Great experience

Went there over the weekend and I must say that i'm extremely impressed. First of all, the live jazz music was great. Great ambience and great service. We ordered the duck, lamb chops, salmon and steak and they were all cooked to perfection. Seasoning was great. Flavours all blended wonderfully and every item on the dish complemented each other. for desert we had the pear spice cake which was really good and the tiramisu was great as well. The only thing that disappointed me was when I called to confirm the reservation, the gentlemen who answered the phone was no gentlemen at all. Quite rude and unpleasant. Asides from that, I would go back.

Not at all Impressed
Submitted Tuesday, January 29, 2008 - 12:49pm [Dine in]

I was very very disappointed with my experience here. Not only was it expensive, the food was horrible! The steak was way undercooked, appetiezers were the size of baby niblets, bread was cold, desert was sour, fish was overdone and it was just horrible! I would never go back ever again. The only good thing was our waiter. He was the only one with manners. The hostess was a snob and had a real attitude problem. I wouldn't recommend it.

Tojo's Restaurant1133 W Broadway, Vancouver
Overpriced and Over-Rated
Submitted Monday, August 27, 2007 - 4:43pm [Dine in]

I was very disappointed at Tojo's. We went to go try it since we heard so many rave reviews and was gravely disappointed. The service was poor, the pricing was ridiculous and the food was nothing special. Their sushi rolls were anrexic and tiny. Even sushi from a food court is better. Their chef recommendations were mediocre. Something you could get at Hon's. Service was horrible. It's like they hire snobs just so you'll order more cuz nothing seems to be good enough. We ordered 5 dishes between 2 people and the waiter still tried to pressure us into ordering more. When the food came out, we understood why. Each serving was meant for a toddler. We're not big eaters either and at the end of the meal we were just so disappointed we didn't even wanna bother with the desert. If you go there, you're really just going for the decor, definitely not the food.

I love Feenie's

I love Feenie's. I love their Feenie Burger. It's the absolute best burger I've ever had in my life! Simply mouth watering and so juicy! All the other entrees and apetizers are delicious as well. Their desert is also very well done. I've always had a good experience with the service as well. I highly recommend this place. It's like fine dining at a low price.

I was not impressed at all with my visit to O Thai. We had the appetizer sampler and there was nothing special about the food. Their fried shrimp, calamari, spring rolls and satay was worse than what you can find at a food court. The waitress suggested their famous and most popular tamarind sauce with duck. That was decent but nothing special either. One of the most easiest dishes, the Pad Thai, was also disappointing. When it came desert time, we tried the desert sampler and i must say, it's nothing but a plate of sugar. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody nor would I ever go there again.
