Accord Seafood Restaurant4298 Main, Vancouver
Good food, but the place can be cleaner.

I picked this place just because I was in the area and craving some Chinese. I ordered the chicken fried rice with some chow mein and chicken balls. Their food was OK. not too greasy, not too dry. The chicken balls were actually great. The only thing that I can point out is the place could be a little cleaner. Well a lot cleaner. Specially the washrooms. All and all it was an OK experience but nothing special. If you are in the area and want some Chinese, i recommend you do some take out and that's it.

Good food, horrible service!!!

There is great sushi right here in West van, except one problem. the servers attitude. It's horrible. They have good food but they seem to think because it's their place, they can be rude to people. News flash people, keep this bad attitude up and you won't have any customers. I had their California rolls and salmon rolls. They were great. Also try the BC rolls, they are pretty good too. The chef is very skilled and can make up to 3 rolls of sushi in maybe a minute. Very fun to watch too since they have the chef's counter right by the tables.
all and all i recommend the food for take out and even then, watch out for one of the girls. She laughed at me the other day right to my face because she felt like $1.65 (my left over change) wasn't enough tip on a $11 take out order. It's actually unbelievable to witness and to think how careless they are about being polite and courteous to their customers.

Deliciousssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!
Submitted Monday, June 7, 2010 - 8:14pm [Dine in]

We have walked by this place many many times but never bothered to walk in and see the menu. To say the truth we never even paid enough attention to even know there is a restaurant here. Shalizar is this awesome little restaurant located in West Vancouver. Their food is beyond delicious (at least what i ate) and their service is very friendly as well. We were attracted by the poster they have put up on their window and if it wasn't for that, we would have never walked in there. They served us this amazing bowl of complimentary soup before our meal that was kinda filling just by itself. I tried the waiters recommendation (Shish kebab) and my friend and his girl tried the platter for two. OMFG, this Shish kebab was so amazing, i almost kissed the waiter for recommending it. The platter had this ground beef kebab that was out of this world as well. Our sincere compliments to their chef. I had no idea Persian food was so deliciousssssssss!!!! I had it once with this girl that i was dating from another Persian restaurant in North Van (I won't name names) and it was just horrible. I am a big fan and i will be back again for sure.

Amazing customer service!!!!

Me and the Mrs. went out for a quiet date nite. We decided to eat some steak and lobster. what better place for steak than the keg. so we looked for the closest one to us at the time and went there. Had a few drinks and enjoyed their trio sampler. It was awesome. Then came our food. I ordered the Fillet Mignon and baby girl got her lobster tail. Unfortunately, i asked for my steak to be medium well done, and they under cooked it. it was very very obvious once i pointed it out to our server because it was pink inside. She apologized and got it rite the second time. The food was decent and we had a great dinner and a few more drinks after. Once we asked for the bill, we were approached by the manager, who apologized to us once more and to our surprise informed us that he was aware of the situation and our dinner is their treat (mind you it was over a 100 dollar bill). and invited us to come back with a 50 dollar gift card and ordered us some desert. We werent expecting that for one second. all and all it was great. and the manager turned an below average experience into an amazing one. Good work and our many thanks to him once again. We can't wait to go back.

Talk about great food. I went there for the first time with the boys after heavy drinking the nite b4. Omg, they serve you what feels like $50 worth of food for less than a 3rd of that. I loved it. Maybe it was cuz I was dying of hunger but it tasted amazing. Their lamb neck was out of this world.
So juicy and delicious. Their sides were amazing too. I don't know how these guys make money serving
food as such low prices. It's probably their volume of customers day after day and it seems like it just won't die down all day long. Will be back for sure.

Could have been better!!!
Submitted Monday, April 26, 2010 - 5:28pm [Dine in]

We kept hearing from our friends that we should try Carmelo's over and over. Well finally me, wife and the kids tried it. All i can say is " IT WAS ALRIGHT". Everything was pretty much average. it had decent ambiance and it seemed busy enough for a good place to eat, but that wasn't the case. All and all it wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't amazing either.
