How clean is your restaraunt?

Mr. or Mrs. Floyd: I love your huevos, but you gotta do something to get the staff to clean the floor once and awhile...no wait - it should be done every day, in fact, several times a day............................................................................................ ................................................................................................. ..................................................................................

Did not make the grade

My husband and I dined here on Valentines day. We both partook of the set menu for the occasion - he had the fish, I choose the steak. The spinach and candied pecan salad was stellar, the chowder was quite nice, the gazpacho was beautiful. Both of us were rather disappointed with our main course: my steak seemed lacking in the seasoning department and a tad on the rare of medium-rare which I ordered - the accompanying baby carrots had obviously been either not seasoned or were boiled as they were flavorless. My husbands fish was cooked to perfection, however the scallop mousse that topped it showed obvious signs of being held under a food warmer (it was rubbery - not mousse-y). We both know that any fine dining establishment should never use food warmers. Dessert was a shared plate of mini-treats: the BEST chocolate covered strawberries ever, the worst creme-brulee ever (had a strange hint of peppermint, was "eggy" and rubbery), and the saddest chocolate cake ever (looked great - NO flavor).

The saving grace was this: we had a wonderful server. She deserves a raise. She helped me choose a great wine, kept our table and drinks in good shape, and was the perfect mix of friendly-charming-here to serve. They are lucky to have her.

As far as ambiance goes - felt like a really posh library...not nearly sexy enough for my generation...buy I'm sure my grandparents would be really comfortable there.

Hands down, the flakiest, butteriest, "bestest" croissants I've ever had...they have lots of flavors to choose from, but seem to sell out by the late afternoon, so go early to get the best pickings...the chocolate is my favorite! (Just make sure to leave one for me!!)

So good I dream about it!

My husband and I are regulars thanks to the highly addictive fish tacos. They are simply other-worldly. There is also some type of "tea" they make from hibiscus flowers that we love....Adriana's: we will see you soon!
