when i went there it was a fancy ,well decorated, more of a romantic feel . I also found that they use patio tents which was sort of strange and unique . When I got the menu, it was almost impossible to read . (I'm talking about the chinese menu) Then I got the apple tea it was okay, kinda okay . minutes later I got the food. beautifully decorated , beautifully assorted , incredibully small meal , ( well, not that small ) then when I put the food in my mouth. It was BS. The service isn't that bad because I have nothing to say about it. After the meal I received the bill my jaw dropped it was at least $13!
I recommend this tea house to people who love great ambiance, horrible food, and thing that cost a fortune
PS. there is a english menu
I ordered a few rolls tonight and they are all good. Boston Roll and Rainbow Roll were awesome; Volcano Roll and Vegas Roll were good. My 1st Salmon sashimi is great but the 2nd round is so-so. Tempura is just OK and you can forget it. I had the Chicken Don and Chicken yakisoba for the kid and both were decent. The portion is just average. The price is.., well, it’s not run by Jap; I think it is slightly higher. The restaurant seems clean and organized. This restaurant used to have very good service but not tonight. Not enough setting, 1 cup for 2 medium sake, no share bowl for kids (Don and yakisoba), I have to ask several times in order to get my needs. It’s not a busy night and they have a few waitress. Service was the only dent tonight.
This restaurant was totally over served and we were sited in a tiny table. The decor is getting old. The food portion is huge but the quality is so so. I have nine dim sum and I don't like any of them. Stick rice is the worst like the previous writer said. It got a strange smell. Price is OK but the service is rough. Will not go back!
As many reviews said this hot pot is a bit pricey for the food they serve, I agreed and I don't go there very often. They recently changed to AYCE hot pot for $19/pp plus $9 for soup base. The food is fresh & well prepared. You will find that this AYCE is actually better than most of the non AYCE Hot Pot. Must Try.
My guest and I were totally disappointed. 1st came was Beef Bi bim bap, you got a tea spoon beef with limited veg and a whole egg for $14. 2nd came was the spicy chicken, taste OK, $13 for a boneless chicken leg (too small even for my boy). 3rd came was my Ginseng Chicken soap which should come first before everything. The soup, the chicken was tasteless. Korean Ginseng soup always comes with a whole ginseng but this one has none. Instead, they gave you a big ginger. I bet the make it in a big pot and add water whenever the needed, $17. I felt so embarrassed for the food and I said to my guest let's order one more dish. We end up having ice cream on main floor.
Excellent Dim Sum and Seafood Choy Min is my favorite. They have the best Prawn Dumpling in Richmond. Service is solid with limited staff. Ambiance was stunning; they got lots and lots of huge Crystal Chandeliers in a big 30 foot height banquet hall.
It's the best wedding banquet hall in Greater Vancouver. Highly Recommended.
This restaurant is not as good as I expected because of all the outstanding comments posted earlier. You got the best AYCE service here. The Japanese food is good and I will advise not to get the Hot Pot because you try don't have enough room to try all selection. The sushi might be too big and too much rice. The ambiance is good but I wish to dine in a more Jap like restaurant.
My preference anyway.
I came here for the Dine out Vancouver menu. $35 for a three courses meal plus coffee/tea. Outstanding service from every staff in the Hotel. Food is nice prepared, good portion and desert is awesome. Parking is not free anymore, just $5.0, which is cheaper than parking meter. Highly recommended.
I came here quit often. The food is always better than the regular Wonton House. I like the Wonton noddle, congee is excellant. Service is always horrible. Good price, good portion. A good place for Chinese food.
It's a small canteen serving all U can eat HOT POT. The table is so small even for 4 of us. There is no space to put the dishes and we've to stack up to 4 stories high. Elbows are all fighting each other during HOT POT cooking. Serving food is slow, food quality is so so, service are mean. Shabusen, Richmond Sushi and Kyung Bok Palace are much much better.
I've been it this restaurant many times. This restaurant runs by Vietnamese but the food is very good. Sushi is fresh and hot food is well made. You can actually order lunch special in dinner time. Service were acceptable. A good place to eat if you don't want to spend a lot.
I want to let you know this place is more like a take out with just about 12 seating. It might be a good place to eat by yourself and not for any special occasion. The restaurant closes at 7:30PM daily.
The lunch is good and the sizes is OKay. The price is right. A solid place for lunch at $6-8, it comes with a drink as well. The restaurant's ventilation is not so good, and the washroom needs some update.
I have never had such a bad dinner in my past 20 years in Vancouver. The food is not fresh, oily and very poor quality, Food Court is WAY BETTER. The waiter serve us with used takeout chopstick (recycle??) ahuh!
We refused the chopstick and we asked for a fork but I am a Chinese.
From 7-8PM, we are the only table in the restaurant.
