A Great Find!

I have heard many compliments of this place from different friends over the years but never had the chance to try it until a few months ago.
My friend and I had Hot and Sour Soup, beef roll, Fried Taro cake, "dou su" cod and another dish. Everything was good, especially the "dou-su" cod, which was made differently from other restaurants. It is actually quite soft, like steamed cod except with "dou su" on top.

Their service was exceptional as well. I was being real clumsy that day and dropped my chopstick twice. The first time I asked for a new pair, the waiter happily handed me one. The second time I dropped the chopstick I didn't want to bother the waiter again. So while I was debating whether or not to just wipe the chopstick with my napkin, the waiter popped up and handed me a new one. That deserves a 5 IMO.

The price is solid, I would say it's in the cheaper 50% of Taiwanese styled cafes. Our bill came out to be $25 for the two of us but we've ordered quite a few dishes.

The ambiance, like the previous reviewer said, is quite modern, and clean as well.

All in all will definitely go back to this place. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for some Taiwanese styled cafe.

Good place for cheap price

I usually come here for late-night supper with 3 or 4 friends. We would get one of those HK-styled congees that cost $13/bowl, but it's huge. It byself is enough for 3 people. We would usually order around 3 small dishes. Chinese fried donuts & what not. From my exp the bills came only to around 6-7 dollars/person. Great deal for decent food.

Decent experiences

I have been to this restaurant for a few years now. Even before its new rennovations. I find the overall experience quite decent, for the price of course. What do you expect when you pay $7 after tips & tax for an entree + a drink? I usually get take-out & order Curry beef brisket with rice, the mini-meals. It is a huge order for a mini meal. + u get a drink & for take out it cost only around $6.35. Very good deal. BTW Mini-meals are only available after 9pm. I do feel unfortunate that some of the other reviewers' meals are infested with bugs. It had never happened to me & I hope it never will.
