Good Experience

We have been here a few times this fall. Food is delicious and service is attentive. I personally don't like the decor (rather plain) but the food makes up for it. The wine pairings are okay. They are very accomodating to diet restrictions. We really recommend this place for a pleasant fine dining experience.

Terrible food, terrible ambiance, mediocre service. Yikes! I ordered a dish and asked them to go easy on the dressing and leave out one specific ingredient. When my food finally arrived, it had too much dressing (slimey), too much salt and lots of the ingredient I asked for them to leave out. This dish cost me $15 and was very small. The food took so long to come out that I was starving and ate it anyways, fearful that it could be much longer if I returned it. It was noisy and the decor looks like someone's garage / part of the house they didn't finish. Anyways, don't go there to really eat. Just go there to have drinks and snacks and you have no plans anywhere else. I definitely will not be going back there again.

I have been going to Joey's when it was in POCO and still in Coq. My experience with this location is that the food, prices and decor are okay. For us, it's the waitresses that have been the downfall with our experience here. One time, the waitress didn't want to give us our change; she wanted to keep it as her tip. She asked us if we wanted change and we definitely said yes. We really didn't want to give her a $10 tip when our bill was only $30. Another time, our waitress was spending alot time at another table, flirting away, when we needed some service. I don't know if the restaurant encourages the staff to hustle for tips but it looks very unprofessional.

We decided to drop by after driving passed it a few times. On Sat. eve, it was full; only a few tables available. It was noisy and hot in there. Like many Chinese restaurants, it's a cash only place. We were greeted and seated promptly and we ordered the wonton noodles and some veggies. The food came fairly quickly and was quite good. Reasonably priced; also you get a large mug of tea. We will be returning when we have another craving for noodles.

We have been here several times now. Always great food, excellent service and nice ambiance. Our server was warm and friendly and the food was beautifully presented. The rissotto was yummy and lovely desserts.

Nice but service needs improvement

The food was delicious and the wine list is extensive. People were friendly. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We will give it a try again later. Maybe they were short staffed but it took forever for the waitress to come by for anything. If you don't have to be anywhere soon, it's okay. We had to feed our parking meter twice because the service was so slow.

We heard some people rave about it so we decided to stop by. It was a HUGE disappointment. You don't get much for what you pay for. It was hot and noisy in there. The line up was long and waiting for the food took awhile. The place we sat had dirty bowls left over by the previous diners. There was no one really clearing tables. We had to eat out of the take out containers because they ran out of bowls. We won't be returning. For what we spent and the abundance of noodle places in Vancouver, we don't recommend this place.
