Nice Irish pub with fun entertainment and a lot of locally grown produce which is always good. I was there on Sunday and had the Brunch buffet and let me tell you it was great value for money and very well laid on. My boyfriend had the yam fries and loved them. I will certainly come back again as the food and the ambiance was perfect and we all had a great time.
This place is every bit as good as it was when I first went there 10 years ago. The food is interesting and the service is great (very friendly). From what I could see of the kitchen though it seemed like it needed cleaning.
The value for money is great and it's very comfortable with cushions placed around for lounging on and tables low to the ground. I was there last Friday night and it was crowded but they still found space for me and my son.
I recently went back to the cellar having not been there in a few years and I was very disappointed. The meal I had was slow in coming and was very bland tasting. The music was wonderful however so the evening was not a total waste. I saw a review in the courier newspaper a week or two back and it was very complimentary but personally I found the food very dull and overpriced.
I went back and gave them another shot but still found the service to be lacking and the food and coffee/tea to be not much better.... Just how hard is it to make a sandwich and a cup of tea...?? The music wasn't as loud as it was the last time I was there however and for that I was grateful and the ambiance was nice but overall I have to say I wasn't very impressed.
